Terrible. Major part broke within 6 months

After about 6 months use the bottom part of the blender which screws into everything else (it is clear pklastic) cracked and was useless. Now I cannot find a replacement part.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Plastic Base cracked at 3rd wash

the blender itself works just fine but the plastic base is ever so fragile.. broke very early in the item's life.. very disappointing purchase

Great Blender unit backed by quaility service.

I purchased this unit to make soothe drinks for better health. It is great. I like the automatic Soothe setting. After several weeks of use, while putting it back together the base cracked. I was not applying a lot of force, it just cracked when it tightened. In reading the other reviews I see it is common to this unit. In looking for a replacement I see that Black and Decker is standing behind their product. That says that they want my business.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Fragile plastic base on the heavy glass pitcher

When I opened the blender, i noticed that the base that screws onto the heavy glass pitcher was made of cheap lightweight plastic. I had a feeling the base was too fragile for the blender so I took great care to be very gentle when washing and using the blender pitcher. The blender worked great. It had a lot of power, until I noticed milk spilling out the bottom while making a smoothie. I took. It apart and found a crack in the plastic base. My old simple blender lasted 24 years. This blender lasted 4 months. The base needs to be designed better.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Plastic base broke when My CEO used it for his morning smoothie :/ Chocolate smoothie everywhere! Looking for a replacement part and found this...I love Black and Decker products, this is the only time I have seen an issue like this. I think a more durable plastic should be used.

Base is Broken!

I really like how this blender works, but the base developed a crack after about 6 months of light use, and today it completely fell apart! I would like to know how I can replace this part.
