Great features

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Our space for a refrigerator was limited, so this fit perfectly. Love the ice maker. Only wish that there was an upper shelf in the freezer. Bought a metal shelf to fit the space, so no big deal. Also, plenty of fridge space.

Came with siezed screws on the door handles

My 20 year old Sears fridge died in mid-April, and I needed one in a hurry.
The good: the fridge works, and is very quiet. There's a slight rattling sound when the compressor is on, but it's a lot better than the old fridge. I'm just not used to it, that's all.
The freezer stays at a constant -15C and the fridge is about +4C with the default settings, and that's what a fridge should do.
The bad: One minor annoyance is that the shelves in the doors aren't adjustable, like my old fridge. That's annoying, but not a deal breaker.
The one big problem is that I can't get the fridge door handles on. In order to do so, you need to remove three screws from each of the doors. For each door, I can get two out, but the third screws are ridiculously tight, to the point where the screwdrivers start to carve holes into the screw because they are so stiff.
What do you do, use an air wrench to tighten them? After 20 minutes with a automotive torque screwdriver, I was finally able to loosen one of them enough to get it to turn, and there was an audible when it finally moved, it was so tight.
Fortunately, door handles don't affect the function of the fridge, but it reflects poorly on Whirlpool. You shouldn't need automotive tools for a consumer fridge bought retail.

Lower end refrigerator

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It’s a nice size and has a nice look. The temperature control has three settings. At first items in the refrigerator we’re freezing. I’d rather have a dial so the temperature can be better regulated. Also no meat drawer. I’d buy again because its the only fingerprint resistive unit that would fit in my kitchen.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The LED lighting makes everything easy to locate!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have a smaller kitchen, so this Whirlpool model was perfect for me. Although it is not one of the huge refrigerators I see in other homes, it is perfect for my kitchen. The freezer compartment has more than ample space for food and the ice-maker simplifies my life.
