Early impressions

I purchased this oven in March of 2018, but didn’t receive it until last week (May 28,2018). It was delivered damaged the first time, so I had to wait 2.5 weeks to get a replacement.
It replaced a vintage turquoise 1957 Frigidaire double oven. After much research, I chose Whirpool because:
1. Of the three manufacturers who make a 24” oven in my price range, this one had the largest interior dimensions, nearly identical to my old oven.
2. It was reasonably priced (but has since increased at least 25%. Glad I purchased when I did).
3. Overall it had the
most favorable reviews and higher ratings.

It installed without a hitch. It looks great. The fan is not as loud as I was anticipating and I found the sound comforting for some reason. I did have to recalibrate the top oven, it was 50 degrees too hot! The bottom oven temperature was OK.
It’s a basic oven (no real big bells and whistles), but so much more efficient than what I had. I may not be the best judge, as I had been cooking with an old relic for 6 years. Using an oven that didn’t have hot spots and leak steam into my kitchen was quite revolutionary.
I baked bread for the first use. The oven was too hot and my bread was a little dry, but it will take me awhile to get to know this device and it’s ideosyncracies.
So far, I am quite pleased.

Baking at its finest

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a culinary piece of art that function like a Ferrari. Quick to preheat, on off cycling seems sparse whether your using convection or standard baking. The built in thermometer gets roast cooked to the perfect temperature.

Love the features

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Two months in and so far so good. Both ovens work wonderfully, from proofing dough to broiling meats, we have run the gambit and they have met the expectations! The cooling fan is much quieter than our previous oven. My only suggestion would be a light for each, rather than one which turns on both lights.

Modern design

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great oven with simple to use control functions. Very modern look. Great lighting and gliding rack. Most reviews complain about the loud fan noise but this oven is whisper quiet compared to our old GE oven. Only issue is poor brightness on the display. Hard to read as the display is a bit dim.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this Double Wall Oven just over a month ago and love everything about it so far! Love that it has Convection Oven in both ovens. Hardly ever hear that . It also has a Proof setting in both ovens. I had a learning curve using the settings in the Convection mode but not a whole lot different than my previous Oven. Cooks very very evenly and the face is easy to keep clean. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a new Oven.
