I wish the water supply line hook up was 3/8" compression. This model requires a 3/4" hose adapter and I do not see the logic in making it this way. Frustrating to have to go get the extra part.

This GE Dishwasher came with our "Gourmet Kitchen" option in our new home. Unfortunately, it is a bit on the "builder-grade" end nonetheless. It does the job most of the time, though it does not always clean off the silverware/dishes completely using the same detergent as in our previous dishwasher at our last apartment. It can be noisier than higher end models, and occasionally, the detergent latch doesn't release. Otherwise, it does generally clean things as one would expect. Not thrilled with it, but as long as it remains durable we won't replace it for a few years.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Good value in a dishwasher.

I had a 15 year old GE dishwasher, but it finally needed to be replaced. I chose to get another GE unit, because of the good luck I had with the original one. This unit is a bit quieter than the original, and does a great job at cleaning the dishes. I think it is a good value.

A Few Fixes Needed.

The bottom rack falls off its track each time I pull it out. The power within the top rotating spray jets is not powerful enough even for simple glasses. I am hopeful it is just my water pressure. The location of the silverware basket often prevents the soap dispenser from opening.

I have only used this dishwasher twice but it is so quiet and gets everything so clean! Even tea stains in cups is gone.
