Bought new home in Dec 2017 due to loosing other home in hurricane Harvy. These products are in every home K hav.builds. Microwave is a Profile G.E. and door lock does not work. Just POOR quality at exteamly high price for G.E. I WILL NEVER buy anything G.E. EVER. You have my email address please feel free to reach out to me if you have questions about the POOR ratings.

This model rack is PVC-coated over steel. When loading the dishwasher with sharp objects (ex., knives), ensure it is carefully placed so that it does not nip the racks coating over time.
Also, ensure that the dishwasher is not being overloaded. You may view loading tips on page 11 of the owner's manual here: https://products.geappliances.com/MarketingObjectRetrieval/Dispatcher?RequestType=PDF&Name=49-55122-1.pdf&_ga.
We recommend replacing your racks with a new set. You may view the racks of your dishwasher here: https://www.geapplianceparts.com/store/parts/assembly/GDF510PSJ5SS.

Cheap dishwasher doesn't clean or dry dishes. It makes a horrible noise when washing. It's so loud we cannot turn on at night or when we have company. Only reason I have it is because it was in our NEW house when we purchase it.

The dishwasher grates inside are rusted after 3/12 yrs. ( began to rust after 2 - & getting worse). After a wash, the bottom of dishwasher does not drain water for over 2 years- sometimes you have to redo cycle on rinse to get it to drain, does not always work. The basket is always clean in bottom of dishwasher, the hose going from dishwasher to sink is always checked on outside of dishwasher to make sure it is connected.
This GE dishwasher was put into home by builder when I built this house. Hasn’t worked properly after first 2 years.

Racks rusted out so quickly

Disappointed in how quick the racks rusted out and need to be replaced. Contemplating in investing in new racks that will just rust again, or going with a different brand.

Bought a new house 3 years ago which came with this GE dishwasher. 2.5 years later, trays are rusty. This is simply unacceptable. It’s a dishwasher that should be designed to get wet. We do not stack our dishwasher to a heavy load, neither do we place a knife in a cycle. beyond disappointed and will not purchase another GE appliance.

Awful dishwasher

We have had this dishwasher since October, it does NOT clean at all I have tried every setting every soap possible and my dishes still come out dirty. I should not have to clean my dishes before loading them in the dishwasher

Our new home came with this dishwasher, it is very poor quality. It leaves soap in holder and it doesn't dry the dishes. I want to upgrade ASAP!

Don't buy it

We have literally had this item for less than 2 months. Because of the poor quality, the sprayer on the top rack was already broken when installed. Now, I can't even run a load because the hindge thstbholds the door in place contains a sensor that sends a message to run a cycle or not, well this $10 piece of plastic is so loose now that it does not allow the cycle to start. Seriously between the waiting gAme if the new sparyer and now this, I've only used the fisher washer 4 or 5 times. Our builder had this item installed and you better believe that the will be hearing from me!
