Not so great quality

I got this as a package deal when I purchased my house and it's disappointing. Very loud and dish soap dispenser doesn't work well (half the time the soap is stuck on). The drying cycle doesn't dry well so every time dishes are done, I have to leave it open for hours to air dry. I had this for over 4 months and had to call for 3 different service calls.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The best dish washer I've had yet. At my age I've had a few dishwashers and I could tell the first time I used my new one that it was high quality.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Worst product

Takes between 2 to 3 hours to wash the dishes, and at the end detergent left overs remain. Also, it doesn't have a dry only function. Very disappointed in the product.

GE Dishwasher provided by Dorn Homes

Within the first few weeks of use I noticed the door wouldn't close properly. The latch on the top inside frame and noticed it was bent. A design flaw IMO is to have the silverware in the front of the bottom tray which impedes the door from closing. Forks, and knives did not fit into the slots for the tray and the were useless so I removed them. It would be better to have this silverware tray along the side of the bottom rack. This is a noisy dishwasher and takes about 2 hours to complete a cycle and is an energy waster. Be prepared to wipe the stainless as all stainless shows spots and stains but looks good when it's clean. On a positive note, the controls are on the top and are hidden, the dishes are clean, and the price is reasonable. But if you want quality vs. price save your money and upgrade to another brand. Unfortunately this wasn't allowed when we bought our home so I guess I'll have to wait until it breaks.

Designed for those who like hand washing

Many things we dislike about this dishwasher. A picture is worth a thousand words. It's loud too!! Besides being loud and poor at cleaning the dishes it seems to be designed to minimize the number of dishes you can load into it. The utensil holder is badly located and if you actually load it with utensils, the soap drawer probably won't open.
Automatic dishwashers have been common in households for close to half a century. GE is an icon of American industry, thus you might be tempted to assume that nothing could go wrong buying a GE dishwasher. That would be an unfounded assumption because this is a bad dishwasher.

Inferior cleaning

This was the dishwasher that came with my new home. I hated it as soon as I saw it but aside from replacing it at my expense there was nothing I could do. The racks and interior are cheaply made of cheap plastic. The dishwasher itself does not clean very well. I now "wash" my dishes before I load them. Buyer beware.

This is the second GE dishwasher installed by a builder that I have had issues with. It cleans okay but now pump is extremely loud and I need to call for service.
