Horrible product. Lasted only 2 years before having to replace the entire thing. Parts are not quality and do not last.

Our dishwasher was installed by the builder and lasted less than three years before it went completely dead! No power, no lights, and even after resetting the circuit breaker and still no power! I thought the dishwasher did a great job washing dishes however after three years it should not need to be replaced! It makes me not want to buy anther GE product

Very Bad quality

It will not last long. Mine also got no lights in the user interface after two years. User control panel is faulty. This is a known issue. Repair person asking us to throw it in trash since repair will cost more people. Now we are adding unnecessary trash to the world. GE should recall this lemon product or replace the user control board.

AVOID GE DISHWASHERS!
on March 20, 2023
Posted by: mynicknamegoeshere
from Austin, TX
Builder installed this unit new - i bought house in may 2018. Used the dishwasher fewer than 20 times since it was installed, and it's been problem after problem on the NEW device. Now I'm finding the control board is defunct - which apparently is a massive widespread issue that GE never recalled and just expects customers to pay for their over-priced service techs to resolve. It will cost me more to fix this product - where the computing components should not be this far behind the rest of the field - than it's worth. Likely switching brands entirely because I can't sell or rent the house with this garbage installed in it. At the end of the day, even when this unit was brand new it didn't wash all the dishes - that's why I barely used it. What's the point of a dishwasher if you have to pre-rinse and post-wash everything you run through it? And yes - I am using only their recommended detergents.

Hello- Thanks for contacting us.
We know it’s frustrating when you buy an appliance only to find yourself unhappy with it, especially something as prominent as a dishwasher. While this dishwasher would cost more to repair it, we would suggest replacing the unit. Here are some of the options: https://www.geappliances.com/ge-appliances/kitchen/dishwashers/built-in-dishwashers/

VERY Loud, SLOW, and Essentially Died in 3 years
on December 11, 2021
Posted by: ParksidePl
This is beyond loud and incredibly slow — it takes 4 plus hours for a normal cycle and even when pre rinsed and not fully loaded the dishes still aren’t clean. I’m now in the process of replacing this machine and am torn between a machine that matches the other appliances or a different brand that actually does what it says it will do. Also, the plastic coated racks peeled within the first year. I’m single and rarely used the machine. It was builder grade included in my new home build. Stay away or upgrade if you can.

Hello there, we're so sorry to see that your dishwasher is running slower and louder than expected, only for the dishes to not clean well and that your racks peeled. We can only imagine how aggravating this would get for you to deal with.
For the best help, we first suggest viewing the following article: https://products.geappliances.com/appliance/gea-support-search-content?contentId=17452
If your dishwasher still isn't cleaning well, we recommend scheduling service with a certified GE Appliances technician that will be able to accurately diagnose and repair your appliance. You can do so by calling GE Appliance Service at 1-800-GECares (1-800-432-2737) or by clicking here: https://www.geappliances.com/ge/service-and-support/service.htm
In addition, we'll be sharing your comments about the noise level and time with our design team so that they may look into this. Your review goes a long way in giving us ways to capitalize on improvements, so thank you for sharing.

Don't buy
on February 3, 2023

We bought our house a little over 2 years ago. The house was only 2 or 3 years old when we bought it, and this dishwasher came included. We assume it was installed by the builder. It's been giving us trouble for the last 6 - 12 months, not working unless we reset the breaker and randomly beeping. Looks like it finally died. I'm sure GE has better models than this, but if they're willing to make this junk model, then I'm not willing to take a chance on any of their other models.

Quit working after 5 years
on May 1, 2023
Posted by: Bad bad Dishwasher
Unfortunately this dishwasher came with a brand new construction home in 2018 and has already stopped working. Not sure I can recommend this brand if you only get 5 years out of it. My previous dishwasher was still working after more than 13 years but I left it at my previous house unfortunately

The dishwasher had issues to start and is average at cleaning. Dishwasher pods sometimes do not open/dissolve all the way and cleaning is average at best with 2 cycles needed at times.
