Not So Great

I have used GE appliances all my life. This is the 1st one that I wasn't real happy with. My old dishwasher was about 12 years old. When didn't use heated dry with the old unit the dishes would come out really close to dry. This new unit doesn't even come close to dry. It barely dries the dishes using the heated dry. Also the intermittent pump cycling makes you wondering if the unit is working correctly.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Nice looking dishwasher

This is a very sleek, nice looking dishwasher. I like the gray inside and the different positions the silverware holder can be placed. The 3 times I was able to use it, it worked great!! Then it broke! I searched online for an owners manual I could use to troubleshoot the problem, bc one was not included, and bc I wanted to do one last load before inevitably losing power due to hurricane damage within the next 24 hours, and finally gave up. Now that I'm recovering from a devastating hurricane which hit my county, I have some time to call and
have someone look at my brandnew
dishwasher that won't work! But sure the first three times I was able to use it, it cleaned my dishes well.

For a dishwasher with plastic interior it's quiet, it washes fantastic everything comes out spotless. Love, love, love the steam feature I feel that everything comes out super clean and sanitized. The upper and lower rack washing options are nice too!

Looks great, works fine. Had to get door switch replaced. Was replaced under warranty at no cost to us and no problem except for waiting for part to come in. But technician temporarily fixed it until it could be permanently fixed. Love the retro look and matches the range, fridge and microwave. Much less than other retro looking brands

Looks Good But....

I have owned another GE dishwasher that was a more expensive Adora model. It was quiet and did a good job. This model cleans very well, has the same control buttons but is loud! It makes all kinds of grinding noises and pumping noises the Adora muffled, I guess. It looks nice in the kitchen, though.

I purchased this dishwasher to replace a 30 year old (another brand) in my 1954 ranch home. I wanted it to have a retro look which is why I sought out the Artistry series. It has a fantastic capacity- amazing how much roomier it is inside when it has the same footprint as the old dishwasher. It is also much quieter than the other brand. I like the features such as removable baskets, ability to wash zones, and sanitize option. We bought it at an appliance store in Ann Arbor and my husband installed it. I have only one very minor complaint and that is the cool, vintage looking GE branding sticker on the front door seems
to be coming unattached since we brought it home. Probably can be fixed with a dab of glue. Overall I love my new dishwasher.
