Best picture I've ever seen.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased the curved model and am very pleased with the entire TV. The picture is out of this world. I cannot see how it can be improved. The sound is also very good although I have a quality sound bar that I connected. The only negative I have is the lack of a user manual. I know there is something online but I would prefer a paper user guide to refer to. The online manual is not that good in my opinion.
Pros: Style/Design, Performance, Quality

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Have had this tv for a couple of weeks now and never dreamed what I had been missing. The color, the picture the smart features are wonderful. I have been having a ball just playing with it. 3D movies are sensational.
Pros: Style/Design, Features/Settings, Performance, Quality, easy to use

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have had this tv for nearly a month, and so far I am extremely pleased. I did not have it turned on the first time for more than 5 minutes before my 87 year old mom commented on the excellent color and sound. I have not had a lot of time to explore the myriad of features, but those I have explored are very intuitive.
I have had one issue however. When my Comcast box is hooked up to the HDMI 1 source on the tv, the picture and audio keep going off and on. When I switch it to HDMI 2 the problem is rectified. Fortunately the tv is under warranty, I hope to get this taken care of shortly. Other than that issue, this is the best tv I have ever had.

Fantastic Picture!!!!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After just a month of having the new OLED, I think I am seeing things as they were really intended. It's like getting new glasses and finally seeing details that before were just things blended in. Although some of the 4K content is still a little scarce, just the upscaling alone provides a level of clarity and contrast that I have not seen before. Highly recommended!!!!!

Best Viewing TV for the Money Out There

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased this TV about 1 - 2 months ago and besides getting used to the wand controller and settings, this TV has been wonderful. The resolution and picture quality are excellent (this being my third LG TV now). I replaced a older generation 3D LG model with this one. I tried the 3D briefly and it is really easy to use. Instead of two controllers previously, now there is only one :). My wife also is enjoying the excellent picture and the sound is pretty good as well but I typically utilize my sound bar. Much thinner and about the same weight as the older model. You do not a proprietary wall mount. Decided this time around to just use the stand and place it on the fire place which works well. Great viewing from all angles.

Awesome TV

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We bought this television last Christmas after viewing them repeatedly at my favorite store. We were viewing a 32" and went to the OLED 55". The difference in picture quality is unbelievable. Everything is more pronounced in color, bigger and more exciting to watch. My wife loves to watch movies and this has been one of the greatest purchases I have ever made.

main board problems
on November 19, 2019

love the picture quality and want to give it more stars
BUT
now that i have developed a problem, i am feeling, how shall i say it, shunned by LG. VIP line, that used to be so helpful, after about 30 seconds handed me off to someone else who at least attempted to help. that didnt last long either. they gave me a couple phone numbers of local shops who cant tell me if they have even worked on this tv, let alone the problem i have.
i also found it highly amusing that LG wont tell me the part number of the board i need so i can attempt to fix it myself. i have to hire one of their third party guys to come order it for me.
crazy
main board is crapping out. at this point, i can watch for about 10 or 15 minutes before the set shuts itself off. everything else, near as i can tell, works as before. sometimes it will turn back on (also by itself) but it will usually turn back off after a moment. after maybe three such cycles, its off for good. if you turn it off and wait 15 minutes, itll work again for 15 minutes and then start shutting off/on...off.
Pros: Performance
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
