[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have now owned this TV for 2 months and it defienitly lives up to its hype. the picture is amazing and i have had zero issues with this TV at all. the only negative i could even come up with is occasionally there is some judder on panning scenes that will hopefully be fixed in an update

Great pictures

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought this tv 4 months ago after several months of research. I liked the picture of the curved Oled , but did not like the curve. I figured when the flat Oled came out I wouldn't be able to afford it. When LG lowered the price by $1 I figured to go for it as a retirement gift to myself.
It has a great picture and upscaling 1080P is really good.
I have received many complements from people visiting my house to watch sports and movies. It looks great on my wall.

OLED is the Best You Can Get

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Ever since I heard about OLED technology, I decided my next TV would be need to be OLED. Once I saw LG had consumer level displays, multiple tech website revies convinced now is the time.
The perfect Contrast ratio (true blacks) is the main feature. Color reproduction beats any other TV out of the box. The slim bezel keeps your attention on the screen. It's strange that this model doesn't have the same transparent bezel as the curved version, but it's not a deal-breaker.
4K content may not be readily available yet, but 1080p content still looks amazing thanks to the higher pixel density.
WebOS works well and its nice to have Yotube and Netflix just on the TV, especially since I don't have cable by choice.
The 3D capabilities are amazing! Watching a 3D blu-ray is more crisp than at a theater. The TV has a built in 2D-to-3D converter feature that can make any content have a depth affect. It is more accurate than it has any right to be, and makes viewing traditional content feel fresh again.
I do play video games, so these benefit from the incredible picture quality and 3D features. The low response time on the set means no unintentional motion blur. However, the input lag is a little high (average of ~50ms) and double if you turn on Trumotion.
I will say that image retention is possible in the set, but fear not. The tech inside the TV fixes the retention while it's off (keep it plugged in) and normal use will prevent permanent burning. This isn't Plasma.
It's a bit unfortunate that the set only has 3 HDMI. I can confirm based reviews I've read that the TV has HDMI 2.0a ports, so you can get HDR color content when that becomes available.
Bottom line: This set is a still a bit expensive, but OLED is worth every penny.

Absolutely gorgeous TV in every way

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been waiting to buy this OLED TV for many years. I decided to take the plunge when I heard the latest 2016 model year did not include 3D unless you bought the most expensive unit. Everything about this TV is absolute perfection.
Thinking hard, the only thing I would improve is the length of the power cord and also to include some HDMI ports on the back of the device instead of having all of them on the side.

Wonderful picture
