Nice looking, easy to install, boils fast.

I've seen many reviews saying it doesn't boil fast. We live at 6000 ft. The range in house we purchased was an older GE. Could hardly cook potatoes or pasta. The power burner on this is great, but the other burners work fine as well.
Several reviewers have also mentioned the knobs being fragile or breaking. We've only had this a month so the knobs are good still. If I were to detract from stars it would be due to knobs. GE cmon you must be able to make sturdier knobs either as standard or as a choice when purchasing.
I give only 3 stars for value because like all cook tops its overpriced, that is compared to ranges that have an oven which can be bought for less than the cook top. Makes no sense at all.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Happy with performance and look but not happy with discoloration of silver rings around flame area....never been used... Plus why does all starters spark when turning on only one unit?

This cooktop replaced an older gas-on-glass cooktop. Wow, we had no idea how badly the old one cooked. This new cooktop puts out incredible heat and is able to be very well controlled. First batch of eggs was a tasty surprise! Very easy to clean as well. Would definitely buy again, easy to install and great performance.

I love the stovetop in terms of appearance. Be careful when cleaning, as it scratches quite easily. Also, once the burners get stained, they do not come clean. You must be very careful not to spill anything on them. The stovetop is mostly easy to clean because the racks can be removed but the knobs can not as far as I know, so that is a bit of a pain.
