Nice but the Knobs

We love it but the knobs are silver-painted plastic. Which is a cheap and nonsensical material application. The knobs did not withstand the normal operating temperature of my gas cooktop. Watch.. They'll break and fall off just after your warranty expires... Happens every single time to me with GE appliances.

WOULD GIVE 0 Stars if I could!!! This is a piece of trash. Stay away. The labels have all washed off over the period of a year with soap and water cleaner. The plastic knobs break constantly and need to be replaced otherwise you don't know if your range is off and leaking gas. This is PURE and UTTER CRAP. Spend more for a quality brand.

Less than 4 years of use, knob broke, writing has worn off, stainless has scratched.

Cook Top

The gas cook top does a very good job at cooking. The burners all work very well.
The problems begin with the materials used to create the cook top. The stainless steel is very, well I guess the best word is CHEAP; it scratches too easily with daily usage ( we even had a cover made for it for protection, and we still find scratches). The knobs are a plastic "chrome" finish and mark very easily.
I really had expected MUCH better from GE.

Cheap Knobs

Have had cook top for about one year, its a new house and was installed by builder. Regular use has caused 3 of the 4 knobs to all split/broke at stem base. Very frustrating... We cook all the time!

I bought this cook top to fit in a small island. People sit around the island and are able to watch me cook and visit. Great addition to the kitchen.
