Nice Gizmo for home users

I got this product from Startech to test and it is ok if you just need to have it at home as a shared drive but, I don't recommend it for a business office because i experience some connectivity issues on couple occasions. Please make sure to read the installation steps otherwise you will be looking into a bunch of folders until you find what you need.

I Love it because it classified as a local HDD!

Even though this USB server works with a SINGLE USB device compared to the Seagate GoFlex Server I have that strips its link to the customizations, the important thing It keeps the customizations as the Icons and the background images (only with Windows 98, 2000, and XP), is very important to describe a folder with an Icon because your mind sees images faster than text in which is a series of images as pictures, then your mind has to interpret as words and then determine it as a word and its meaning. Of course I do not want all of my folders to look like blank manila folders. As a marker or a landmark amongst hundreds of other folders, It is far easier to spot by an image. Most people learn to read and write in first grade, is three years later than I learned it, thanks to both of my parents, to teach me.

Reliable Use as a Dymo LabelWriter Print Server
on November 20, 2020

I've used the Dymo branded print server as well as an ioGear print server, and everytime I updated the firmware on my router/switches or rebooted my router/switches, I would have to power cycle the print server and the Dymo LabelWriters to get them to work.
I put two of these into my network and set static IP's. They work without needing to reboot -- I've upgraded switch/router firmware and rebooted the devices many times over the past 2 months without needing to reboot the print server.
Finally some stability with my label printers! I highly recommend this product. macOS will even read two-way communication and automatically identify the LabelWriter, which is something no other print server has been able to do.
