Unnecessary and Pointless

I was send this Keurig Kold for my honest and unbiased review. I was so very excited to receive this new product! When I took it out of the box I was surprised at how big and heavy this thing is. It takes 2 hours after you plug it in before it's ready. It's kind of loud. Like a mini fridge on your counter top. Anyways, I waited and finally got to brew a few drinks. I am so disappointed! You get 6 ounces of the beverage of your choice. 6 ounces?! This machine is huge!! I tried the flavored water which were weak, sports drinks which were ok, and ginger ale which didn't work at all. It has a larger pod for the added carbonation beads. When I brewed my drink, it was nothing but carbonated water. The ginger ale syrup never came out. So, I tried it again with the same results. After having my machine for about a week, it just stopped working. I plugged it in and nothing. No motor sound, no lights. I called Keurig and they were SUPER awesome. We couldn't find the problem so they replaced my machine with a brand new one. All in all, I do not like the Keurig Kold. It's pointless if you think about it. The pods come in a 4 pack for about $4. So, $1 for 6 ounces. It doesn't make since. I'd rather have drinks in my fridge and save the money and counter space. Highly disappointed.

So far... not good!

Love the sleek look, but it is big. Was excited to make my sports drinks, but it doesn't work! Plugged it in and after almost 4 hours it wasn't ready to be primed. I unplugged it and plugged it back in and after a couple minutes it came on and was ready for priming/ cleaning. I used one of the pods and it blinked red before it was done dispensing and tasted like carbonated water. Yuck... Tried the Coca Cola pod and nothing dispensed at all. Haven't gotten it to work.
Pros: Matches My Kitchen
Cons: Defective, Uses A Lot Of Energy, Very Big

Love the concept, but doesn't seem necessary

Unit is too big! Takes up so much counter space. If you don't leave it plugged in, it has to cool for 2 hours before use. I could go to the store and purchase a case of drinks, come back and pour on ice (or place in the freezer) in this amount of time. During those 2 hours, it is very loud. Cool concept, but not well thought out. Hopefully, it'll come with additional options later (alternate size of desired drink, smaller unit, or combined w/ the hot unit). Also, the Coke wasn't as strong. Had the taste of a soda that had "gone flat".

Cons: Cooling Time, Soda Wasn't As Strong, Bulky, Noise

BIG, SLOW and PRICEY

The unit takes up too much counter space. It takes about a minute to get 8oz of drink. It was cute at first, but after a few servings, it became annoyingly slow! Carbonated water dispensed is good but the soda lacks flavor. Would love to have a real sugar option soda pods for Coca Cola.

Good first generation effort

I am hopeful that the pod prices will come down with bulk pricing and that new pod sizes will make 12 or 16 ounce servings. Lacking that the Keurig Kold will be relegated to parties and not everyday consumption. If pod prices come down I would recommend this to a friend - otherwise not.
Pros: No Mess, Convenient, Tastes great, Consistent results
Cons: Stiff Operation, Pods Are Expensive, Bulky, No Mt Dew Equivalent

Love this machine for a number of reasons. It's fun, easy to use, and we love several of the flavors. The portion size is great. While it is a bit large on the countertop, we feel it makes up for it in the lack of sodas eating up fridge space. We love several of the drinks, Spiced Root Beer being a favorite. The selection, though, lacks. With Dr. Pepper/Snapple on board, we're a bit surprised that Snapple teas aren't on offer. The possibilities are endless, but currently very constrained. Hope to see this improve over time. Also, the per-pod pricing is about 25% higher than we'd like.

I did return the system to Keurig with no problems. If the system gets smaller and less noise, I will be the first to purchase another. Love the Keurig Company, buy coffee monthly and customer service is great to deal with. If house and kitchen was larger I surely would recommend buying it.
