Fun But Not Worth The Price

We were excited to get the machine and could not wait to start using it. It took a few hours to get it primed but once ready it was easy and fun to to use. My daughter who is 3 loves making her own drinks. The biggest issues are the cost, the space it takes up on the counter, and the expense of the pods. It would be really fun to use at parties, especially for kids. I wish you had the ability to change the drink size. Fun concept.

I adore this product! I simply do! It's quick and easy. Much more simple than Soda Fountain. And it looks great! We enjoyed our Coke samples...they were supurb! The Red Barn Cola left a bit to be desired, but overall tasted like any generic cola. The flavored waters and Red Barn Lemon Lime were very good. The drinkmaker is quick and extremely easy to use. It has a nice sleek design that fits in well against any Keurig Coffee Maker. However, the product is very big and bulky. This is not for the kitchen with limited counter space. Also, the drinkmaker dispenses 8 oz. of drink at a time. Although this may be considered the "standard" drink size, it is not realistic in our world. When you think that soda cans come in 12 oz. and bottles in at least 16 oz., the drink portion left you unsatisfied. I would love to see a more realistic proportion in drink sizes that the machine dispenses. If you were to look at what a can or bottle of soda costs along with the ounces in each, knowing that I'm going to be paying $5 for a four pack of 8 ounce sodas is disheartening. Other than the allure of my at home soda taste, does this really stand up to the value? Or is this simply to be a novelty item that does not get the same amount of regular use like my Keurig coffee maker? I need to see a greater value in the drink pods. My only other quibble with the Keurig Kold is that not every glass will fit under. Tall glasses (which are what all of my glass drinkware and even my Tervis Tumblers) do not fit with this product. So, unless you purchase the Keurig glasses to use and then just pour it into your desired glass, you are out of luck. Overall, I love the product. I just think some adjustments could be made to make this product beyond spectacular!

While the drinks taste very fresh, I'm just not impressed. The machine is very large and loud. It uses quite a bit of energy for a drinkmaker. The pods and machine are very expensive. The price doesn't make it worth it. I was given a free mold machine in exchange for a review

I was given the Keurig Kold for free in exchange for my unbiased review. At first, I was excited about the product, because I am a lover of Keurig coffee brewers, but the Keurig Kold is quite a disappointment. I don't know who would buy this - it's not a cheaper alternative to buying bottled beverages. It's not environmentally friendly, as it requires energy to keep the water cold and the pods, which are twice as big as k-cups, are not recyclable. And the taste of the beverages is no better than bottled drinks. The machine itself works fine. It takes about 90 seconds to make a drink. It's easy to forget to remove the freshness seal under the pod before use, and when you do, your drink won't taste right.
Pros: Cocacola Brand Drinks, No Co2 Cannister Needed
Cons: Too Much Counter Space, Takes too long, Noisy, Drink Pods Expensive, Energy Usage, Drinks Not Big Enough

I use the Keurig Kold when I get a craving for a crisp carbonated soft drink. I am very picky about fountain drinks and only have one "go-to" place for the best flavor. needless to say, I no longer have to make a trip out to get that.. I have it in the convenience of my own home!!

I purchased my Kold on the initial day of the launch. I was a little nervous after reviewing several mixed or negative reviews. The set-up was very easy. The instructions are easy to follow. I plugged Kold in at 10:15 AM EST and had my first beverage at 12:05 PM EST. The beverages were perfect. No issues with Pods or anything. The machine is a tad large, but I am fortunate to have plenty of space. The machine is very sleek looking and is very high quality. I definitely recommend Kold.

Skepticism before use, now just full enjoyment

I was slightly put off initially by how many steps there are ahead of first usage...but once I moved past that, I fell in love with the Keurig Kold. Some have mentioned how pricey the pods are, but I feel like this is a benefit. I grew up drinking carbonated sodas regularly, and years ago, stopped. The Kold pods, with their vast variety, offer me a chance to enjoy the occasional indulgence in a craft soda...without the temptation to go overboard. Plus, there are delicious flavored water pods! I think it is win-win. I do look forward to the 2nd generation Kold - I'm hoping it will be smaller in size and quieter. Despite these drawbacks - I'm in love with this thing.

Cons: Complicated Setup, Bulky Unit, Noisier Than Keurig Hot
