We bought the Kold Drinkmaker for our conference room at work and our clients loved it! The variety of flavors and the novelty of the device were a huge hit. The Coke products tasted exactly like they had come from a Coke bottle, and the Keurig branded products tasted great too.

Please note that I was sent this product for free in exchange for an unbiased review. When I recieved the Keurig Kold, I was so excited that I ripped open the boxes (flavors came in a separate box). In the box that contained the Keurig Kold, was the device that primes the machine for use (its a small piece of hard plastic that you need to keep for future use) and a set of glasses. The glasses seem nice and sturdy, I haven't used them as I have young children (things get destroyed by my kiddos). The machine is bulky/ awkwardly large. I don't normally read instructions, but had to because the Keurig Kold requires it to be plugged in (and on) for at least 2 hours for it to be ready to make a cold drink. That was such a bummer for me. I was excited to use it and had to wait. When I was finally able to use the Keurig Kold, I tried the Cream Soda. I was very put off by the taste and the fact that it wasn't very cold. There was plenty of carbonation for an 8oz serving size. But 8oz doesn't look like much, but that's probably because I used a larger cup that I had handy. Because it takes two hours to start up the machine, I haven't really tried any of the other flavors. Two of my kids drink soda and seemed to like the cream soda, but they like a lot of things that I would consider to be nasty.
Pros: Fresh
Cons: Expensive, Largebulky, Uses Too Much Energy, Takes 2 Hours Before Use

We used this product today to make a different soda for each of my sons. They loved it and thought it was easy to use. They also liked the very cold water. The drinks are great tasting. While the machine was easy to use, it took 2 hours to prep and then there is the clean method and then the minute or so it takes to make the soda. It's a lot of time for one drink. It seems like a great novelty item. I wonder how much the pods are and if it is cost effective. Definitely an interesting product and I would to try sports drinks and more waters; the kids love the sodas!
Pros: Makes Awesome Drinks, Son Said Very Cold Water, Can Make Cold Water, Can Make Different Drinks, Very Fun To Use, Kids Loved It
Cons: Takes 2 Hours To Prep, Takes While To Make Drink, Pods Seem Wasteful, Fan Is Noisy, Machine Is Huge

Blown Away!!

First of all, let me state for the record, I received this product in exchange for my unbiased review. Now that that's out of the way, the first thing I noticed about this machine is that it does it's job very well. The temperature of the drink itself is spot on and the taste is amazing, I didn't taste anything other than the flavor itself, so gigantic kudos points there. The setup process was fairly easy, the initial cleaning went by like a breeze, didn't encounter any problems whatsoever during or after, so that also receives a big checkmark. Now, when I first started making a drink, here's where things got very interesting, it was very easy to make a drink, but what I noticed after the drink was made, I had a bit of extra water left in the reservoir and every time I want to make a drink, I always have to fill it up to the point where the water sensor indicator turns off, which kind of threw me off there for a bit so that's one downside to it. Overall, I do love this machine, I am seriously blown away by it, and I would definitely recommend to friends and family to purchase.
Pros: Setup Process, Cleaning And Maintenance, Flavor Accuracy
Cons: Water Reservoir Sensor

When I first received this machine, I was ecstatic to get it out and get it going. It was a very long two hour wait to get it all set up but once we were finally able to use it I was very pleased. This is my first experience with Keurig as I am not a coffee drinker and I am now going to be a regular customer. The beverages taste great. Just like I'm getting it out of a soda fountain and the speed was excellent. I also loved that the beverages are cold with no ice!! I do wish there was an option to create more beverage at a single time as the 8 ounces don't last long. It would be nice if it filled a whole tumbler for on the go. Overall I am extremely pleased and am already dreading running out of the K-cups as I can't get any more until the machine comes out! Great job overall Keurig!!
Pros: Great Selection, User-friendly, Fast
Cons: Long Set Up Time, Small Amount Of Beverage, Bulky
I would recommend this to a friend!

The Keurig Kold soda machine will certainly redefine home soda making for consumers. In a society that expects their electronics small, and their products served quickly, Keurig will force its customers to slow down and enjoy the bigger things in life. The first thing you will notice is the ridiculous size of the machine. This single function appliance takes up about as much space as my microwave, but makes my microwave look like the tuxedo of countertop gadgets. The Keurig Kold looks like a giant version of its coffee making cousin. Assuming you have an inordinate amount of counter space and are tired of looking at a clean surface, go ahead and plug the Keurig Kold in and get ready for some homemade soda!...in about 3 hours. I recommend going out for dinner to pass the time, and while out order some soda to refresh your memory of what soda is supposed to taste like. When your machine is finally charged and ready for use fill the water reservoir and grab a glass and your favorite flavor of soda and get ready for some moderate refreshment. Each pod has a freshness seal on the bottom that unlike K- cups must be removed, or you will have wasted the pod, because just like cans and bottles of soda, you only get one shot at opening, and if you fail, you have to throw it out. Let's assume you've remembered to remove the freshness seal and all systems are go! Close the top and press the pretty blinking blue circle to begin the process, which will have you waiting about 2 minutes before anything comes out. But, you just waited 3 hours for the machine to warm up, what's another few minutes? When the machine finally does serve your product it is cool, it is carbonated...kind of…and it's a whopping 8 ounces! Want more than 1 cup of soda? No problem! Just pop another pod in and wait another 2 minutes and presto! Another 8 ounces of sort of cold, sort of carbonated soda. Oh, but hopefully you don't want more than 6 drinks at a time, because after the 6th pod the machine needs another 30-45 minutes of charging before it can serve another beverage, AHHH but Keurig thought of this and created what they call "party mode!" Party Mode is when you put ice in the water reservoir. Really Keurig?! That's your brilliant solution?! So Keurig assumes that you, the consumer, wants to pay hundreds of dollars for a giant machine that after 3 hours can make 6, 8 ounce servings of cool soda that's halfway flat, and probably cost you the same amount for one serving that a 2 liter bottle already made would have cost you at the grocery store. Well, what about the taste you say? Certainly this monstrosity of a product that no doubt will result in the loss of someone's job at Keurig must make really great tasting soda! WRONG! Keurig apparently teamed up with Coke and put out Coke brand pods. I tried both the Canada Dry ginger ale and the Diet Coke. The ginger ale tasted like a bad mix of syrup to water. The kind of mix that, if it were served to you at a restaurant, you would send it back. The Diet Coke, tasted fine, but was almost flat before it reached my mouth. Now granted, I was using tap water in the reservoir. But if you want to make the argument that I should have used filtered or bottled water fine, though that only furthers my argument against this product. If I also have to pay for bottled water on top of all the other costs associated with this machine and pods then it isn't worth it. Also, if I have to wait for my water to filter to use in a machine already making me wait long enough to not want soda anymore, then I don't want it. For the life of me, I cannot think of any reason why someone would spend their money of this product. If you want my opinion: go to the store and buy soda.
