I think overall that the machine is too big and bulky for the average home. Would fit best in a man cave or somewhere outside of a kitchen. I do like that I can choose between several different drinks without having to store all of the cans/bottles. Some would say that the carbonation could be better since it does taste a little flat. I also worry about how much it would cost to buy the pods going forward. However I do like that the pods are now recyclable.

Cons: Carbonation, Machine Is Too Big, Potentially Expensive

I received the Keurig Kold to evaluate and my family has already fallen in love with it. The Keurig Kold was very easy to setup. I removed it from the box and removed the packing tape from the machine. From there, it was as easy as inserting the beverage tray and plugging it in. It took about two and a half hours for it to get cold enough to finish the setup. Once it reached the correct temperature, the lighted button indicated it was time to fill the water reservoir and prime the machine. This was a quick process as well. The Keurig Kold is quite noisy while it is chilling. You can hear a hum similar to a fan all the time, but it is louder as it is cooling. Making a beverage with the Keurig Kold is very easy as well. Just remove the freshness seal from the bottom of a pod, insert it into the Kold, and press the button. About a minute later, you have a freshly made cold beverage in your cup. As far as the taste, we have really enjoyed several different flavors. One flavor, Vanilla Cream, had a slightly chemically taste to it, in my opinion, but that was the only one we experienced that with. I look forward to trying some of the non-soda pods in the future. Cleaning the machine is pretty easy as well. Many of the Kold's parts are top shelf dishwasher safe and the rest can be easily hand washed or wiped down. My wife and I are excited to get more flavors / varieties of the bods and using the Keurig Kold when we have guests over. The Kold manual tells about a "Party Mode". Normally, the Kold can make 6 beverages in a row before it has to go through a full chilling process. The "Party Mode" is actually just a matter of putting ice cubes in the water reservoir to bring the water temperature down. This is great when you have a large number of guests over.

Cons: Only 8 Ounce Beverages, Little noisy

Great Cold Drinks!

When I received this product for free to review I was very excited to try it out. I was not expecting it to be so HUGE. I had to clear a large space on my kitchen counter for the KOLD machine - if you have a small kitchen it might not fit. It says it should take about 2 hours to "chill" - it took at least 2 1/2 hours. The fan noise while it is "chilling" is rather loud and while it quiets down a bit after chilling it is still somewhat annoying. I wish it had an on/off button - I ended up unplugging mine after using it. We made a few different types of pop (soda) and the Coca-Cola was my favorite - tasted as if you had just poured it from a can! The only downsize to the actual beverages is that each KOLD cup makes about 6-8 ounces of pop (or other beverage) - which isn't that much. The kids had a great time making their drinks, so it has the entertainment factor going for it! It would be a fun product to use during a family get-together. Overall I think it's a neat idea and I'll keep using it, but the size of the machine and the fact that it's always "on" (unless you unplug it) might deter some consumers.

I can't wait to see how this product line expands! Initially I was a little disappointed as the first pod we used did not expel all of the syrup despite following exact instructions and removing the freshness seal. This happened more often than not, I felt like I almost had to slam it shut to ensure that it worked. It takes the machine a little while to make the drink, and it's loud, but that didn't really bother me. It comes out cold and ready to drink which is nice. We have an open kitchen and you can hear the machine running at times which is a bit annoying. I loved the 8 oz size, however my husband didn't feel like that was enough to quench his thirst. The kid's loved it (they used it with supervision) and I'm hoping they may expand the drinks to possibly include kid friendly options! I was skeptical that the coca cola would actually taste the same as it does from the store, but it did! I'm looking forward to trying some of the tea and cocktail options as we only had soda/pop to choose from. There was mention of recycling the pods, but I couldn't find much information about that. I'm hoping that information will be readily available in the future. Overall, I think this could be love.

My only complaint about this machine is that the coca-cola formula doesn't taste right. It almost has a diet flavor. I drink a lot of coke and expect a specific flavor. Otherwise, I think that the machine is awesome and VERY convenient.

We love having the variety of flavors available but especially like how each drink tastes incredibly fresh and good. We were hoping Coke and Dr. Pepper (and others) would taste "as good as" they do coming from a bottle or can. Instead, they taste noticeably better. I think it is the freshness.

Cool Technology, Not Practical for Apartment Living

The Keurig Kold is a very interesting product. Cool technology and a modern design. The drinks are cold and the machine dispenses good portions (8 oz.), but I had a little bit of trouble with the pods. Two kinds (all four pods) did not use the carbonation and another (one pod of four) came out flat. For the price, all four pods had better be good. However, customer service was great and replaced my pods quickly and easily after talking about the issues. I live in an apartment with very little counter space, so the drink maker is currently taking up valuable real estate. This product would be better suited in a larger space or at a designated bar area. The set up was easy, directions very clear. But while the machine is cooling, it is noisy. I have gotten used to the everyday hum. This drink maker works like a refrigerator so it has to stay plugged in if you are planning on making drinks regularly. It uses tap water - which is great for keeping cost down - however, I would be interested in using a filter in the water reserve to see how it effects the flavor.

Neat idea, needs refinement

I like the idea of the Kold machine but unfortunately it is too large, noisy and pricey to use. The cost for an 8oz glass of Coke is a little silly. I think it tastes better from the can or bottle anyway. And the if you don't leave it on all the time it takes about 2 hours to chill the water to use it.
