convenient but inconsistent

the keurig was very easy to use. it took a long time to chill and be ready. it's loud. i don't know how much electricity it uses. not all of the sodas tasted great. and even among the same kind of pods, the beverages didn't turn out the same. very disappointed. give me a can of soda instead.

I recently received the Keurig KOLD Drinkmaker and used it for the first time last night. I was surprised at how large the machine is compared to my Regular Keurig. The setup for the KOLD is about two for the machine to cool down and be at an adequate temperature for cold beverages. The machine when plugged in has low hum like a mini fridge for the first few hours while cooling down, then quiets pretty significantly. I first tried the root beer pod which came out carbonated just like a pop can but the flavor was not as good/strong as i had anticipated. I would have liked the option to brew different sizes of drinks but realize that would require different size pods. I also would have liked the option to brew cold coffee beverages but maybe that is something that they could come up with eventually. Overall i think that for the price, the size and the cost of the pods the Keurig KOLD is not worth it although the beverages are good.
Pros: Cold Beverages
Cons: Only One Size, Long Setup, No Coffee Beverages

Very cool product, but could use some work

I absolutely love the idea of this product. I was completely shocked at just how good the drinks taste. I do wish the machine didn't take so long to cool, in fact mine took much longer than the suggested 2 hour chill time, and I had to unplug it and start over after 4 hours of not being ready. I don't like that if you add more water, it starts the whole chill process over. I did however, learn to put ice in the reservoir and that sped up the process. I love how cold the drink is when it comes out, I love not having to use ice. The carbonation was perfect, and the flavors were perfect. Unless the pods are fairly cheap, I don't know how well this will go over if it costs more than just running to the store. I definitely want to try more flavors though, because I am really impressed with every one I've tried. Every flavor is so creamy and rich. I know it sounds like I don't like this machine, but honestly I love it, and would love it even more if a few of the things were fixed.
Pros: Very Tasty, Taste Identical To Brand, Unique, High-class, Very Neat, Cold, Pretty
Cons: Takes too long, Has To Stay Plugged In, Noisy, A Little Confusing

The kids loved making their drinks and thought it was the coolest gadget. For that reason, I would likely get more pods so the kids can have this as a special drink. It really takes up a lot of room on counter and makes a noise even when in resting state and the pods are very expensive vs. regular soda.

I received this product for my unbiased review and I can say that I really like this new product. What i like is that it is something that is fun for everyone to use. It is very unique and have fun using it each time. I really like the flavors available such as the Cane Sugar Cola and Vanilla Cream Soda. These are very much my favorites. I like that the machine is simple to use. The only drawback thus far is the pricing of the pods, but I will say that having this machine has led to me buying less cases of pop and being ok with a small 8oz soda to satisfy the soda craving. The machine is large, but if you have a lot of counter space this isn't really a issue. I have three other Keurig products and honestly counter space is the least of my concern. Overall, I would buy the product even at the current price point. Thank you Keurig for making such an innovative product.

I was really excited to try this product. As soon as I pulled it out of the box, I was disappointed. The machine is HUGE and takes up much needed space on my counters. Also, there is no on/off switch, so if you don't want it running 24/7 youll have to unplug it and guess what, it takes at least 2 hours to cool before you can use it! Also, each pod makes 8 oz, one box contains 4 pods and costs around $5. I do not want to pay $5 for 4, 8 oz drinks when I can buy a 12 pack of sodas for the same cost.

I received this free product for my unbiased opinion. And my, is it the best I've ever received! The concept behind creating a cool drink dispenser is an awesome one. The keurig kold lives up to its name. You use it almost exactly the same as you do the traditional keurig coffee maker. They have their own designated, one time use cups. It has one option for drink size: 8oz. Different drink sizes would be better. When using it for the first time, or turning it on after it being off for a while, you do have to wait 2 hours for it to cool.. like a fridge does. I'm not a fan of the long wait nor the fact that there is no on/off button. You unplug it to turn it off or leave it running and rack up on your energy bill. The kold cups leave much to desire. Out of 4 samples, 2 of them were faulty and did not dispense any flavor, just carbonated water. It is a decent size keurig and for my use and my home, entirely too big. A variety of options, like a mini, would be nice. You can tell the keurig kold is made from good quality products as it doesn't feel flimsy at all, but a bit heavy. The drinks taste just as they do out of a restaurant or bottled from the store.. delicious. I hope they make other drink options other than soft drinks that I received in the sample box. Overall, it's a great product and I would recommend to a friend.. especially those that like to host get together like I do!
