Interesting Concept

I was sent this product and I loved the concept. As a non coffee drinker, I never got much use out of the original Keurig machines. So this was right up my alley! I loved the variety of drink choices that were provided with the product when I received it in the mail. While it is minor, I love the fact that they have name brand drinks with it (Coca Cola, Dr. Pepper, etc), and not just like "cola flavored". I had to wait about 3 hours (not the two that was stated in the instructions) before I could use the machine. I didn't like the fact that it constantly made noise with the fan going. I wish they could just have it silent like the other Keurig machines. Other than those two minor things, I really enjoy the machine.

Cons: Makes Noise Constantly, Takes A Long Time To Chil

Great for a party but not going to change the world

The initial set up was the most difficult thing to do. After setup it is very easy to use! It makes a cold and very fresh drink that tastes great. The machine is very expensive and quite large! Its hard to find room on the counter top for it. This machine doesnt replace my can cokes in the fridge. I feel like this machine would be fun for a birthday party of part of an evening of entertaining. But will it replace can or bottle coke? Unlikely.

Great machine for the occasional soda/cold drink afficinado

In purchasing the Keurig Kold I recognized that I would be purchasing a first generation device. With a first generation device you are bound to face a higher entry cost and the inevitable quirks that will be solved with later generation models. However, I would still recommend this machine as a good product for anyone that likes to have a wide variety of cold drinks at the ready. This is a fun and incredibly convenient machine able to produce perfectly portioned cold drinks. I have yet to encounter any problems with the pods not working properly. I know some folks don't like the time it takes to make a drink but I don't find 90 seconds that unreasonable for a freshly made perfectly chilled drink. As long as you remember to take the bottom foil lid off (which really isn't asking too much) the Kold is a very easy to use and maintain device. I consider myself an occasional soda drinker and like that I can keep a variety of drinks on-hand without taking up room in my refrigerator or having to purchase a large pack of drinks or single large bottles. The drinks taste great and I like the variety that is already available. The Coke products taste extremely authentic (enough so that I really cannot tell a difference). In addition to the carbonated drinks the non-carbonated options such as the iced teas and flavored waters are also really good. I am sure that we will continue to see an expansion of the amount of drink choices available. While I find the device fun and convenient for just myself, it really excels for parties and entertaining general. The ability to give guests a wide array of drink choices, all freshly made, is really nice. Also, I don't end up with a lot of waste afterwards if I was to buy multiple packs or large bottles of a variety of soft drinks. I can families with kids really loving having this machine around to satisfy different tastes and cravings. I like the 8oz. drink size as it seems to be the perfect size for not over-indulging. As with most things, too much of anything can be bad and the Keurig Kold keeps me from consuming a whole can or more from a bottle than I really need. With that said I'm sure size options would be a popular and well received enhancement on future machine models. Overall, I am very happy with my purchase and look forward to seeing the Kold product line expand in the future. Improvements for a second generation Keurig Kold could include: 1) The ability to select drink sizes 2) A timer for setting on/off times to give the machine the ability to turns off for long periods when not needed 3) Reduced machine and pod cost 4) Smaller machine size 5) While I am glad that the pods can be recycled the pods are somewhat difficult to prep for recycling. I'd like to see the upper inner lid able to be removed more easily

When this product came I was shocked to see how big the box was. This thing is huge! It took about two hours, like it said, to cool the water. It is easy to set up. My kids like it. I don't find this to be a practical item. I received compensation/free product for my unbiased review. Had I not, I never would have bought this for myself. The pods seem to only come in a 4 pack. So far we have tried the Coca Cola, root beer, lemon-lime sports drink, and favored water. They all taste good. The Coca Cola almost tastes "too clean" though. You can certainly tell there is not all the "junk" and syrup in it. It does taste like the real thing, just cleaner. I will probably only get this out when having a party. It uses as much energy as a mini fridge, and takes up too much room on the counter.

Cons: Bulky, Only 8 Oz At A Time, Energy Hog, Not Practical

The cost per drink is higher than canned or bottled drinks. However, I will pay the premium because its convenient, keeps me aware of portions, and, besides, I like cook things. And the Kold is Cool!

I use the Keurig Kold at all my parties. I use it daily myself. I love that I can have a variety of flavors on hand and don't have to take up space in my fridge. Everyone loves to make their own drinks. I'm NOT HAPPY that Keurig raised the price of the pods. I am not being compensated for this review. I received my Keurig Kold as a Christmas present.

The keurig KOLD looks great on my kitchen counter but does take up a lot of space. I love the taste of the ice cold soda but there are no size options only 8oz servings. Also it takes a while to brew. My regular Keurig is a lot quicker. I feel that the pods are expensive. 4 pods for almost $5 when you can buy a 2 liter bottle for $1. All in all not for me.
