This product is really nice to have. It is not a necessity, but a luxury. For our family, we don't generally drink soda daily. This product made it possible to have that quick fix without purchasing a 2L product and letting it go to waste. I like this product and would recommend this product to those with similar lifestyles as my own.
Pros: 8oz Perfect Size, Variety of flavors, Quick Fix, Easy to use, Maintenance Free
Cons: Large Product, Pricey
I would recommend this to a friend!

Not Enough Bang for Your Buck

I was very excited to try this, and when we took it out of the box, I was even more excited. The front of the unit is very sleek looking, and the lighting makes it look futuristic. However, it is VERY large, bulky, and heavy given the fact that there is basically a mini fridge in the unit. It takes a lot of room in your kitchen. Start up time is arond 2 hours and if you unplug the unit, you have to wait another 2 hours. If you keep it plugged in, they say it takes as much electricity as a mini fridge. We will not be using this every day, so we will have to wait the 2 hours for it cool down to 39 degrees. Due to the cooler, it is fairly loud during the 2 hour start up time. The lid has a little resistance to it when closes and opening. The pods are huge as well due to the carbination beads contained within them. My first thought was yikes. If people are already concerned about the K cups being unenvironmentally friendly, people are going to have a hay day with these. Not to mention they are very expensive! $4.99 for a 4 pack. We were disappointed that you do not even get a full glass as the pods dispense only 8 ounces of product. However, we do like the fact that the options we tried tasted fresh, bubbly, and cool without having to add ice. On the pods themselves, there is a silver sticker that you must take off so the syrup can make it's way down. There were 2 occasions where we forgot to do this. There went 2 pods down the drain. Must be mindful when using. We also liked that there are several types of beverages to choose from like soda, teas, seltzers, and fitness drinks. There is a nice variety of pods. Bottom line is that we feel this product has some stream lining to be done for the general consumer especially for the price point. If there was a way to make the system smaller and quieter while keeping the cooler feature, I think we could give it 4 stars.
Pros: Carbination Included Pods, Classic Keurig Look, Variety Of Different Pods, Easy to use
Cons: Noisy, Only 8 Ounces, Long Start Up Time, Large Pods, Bulky, Pods Expensive

Fountain Soda At Home

The product is pretty large for a countertop appliance, still deciding on the best location to place it. Most of my appliances are silver, and I think it would have looked nicer in silver rather than white. Setup was very very easy, priming took about 1.5 hrs, so less than the suggested 2 hrs. The pods and machine itself are super easy to use, and the drinks taste great, lots of fizz which I like, reminds me more of fountain soda than out of the can. I do think the pods are pretty pricey (compared to a multipack of canned soda), but they do take up less space and no fridge space. The unit was noisy when priming, but byt the time it was readyu to use and inbetween using it was very quiet.
Pros: Nice Cold Drinks, Lots of drink choices, Lots Of Fizz
Cons: Pods Are Expensive, Huge Countertop Appliance, White Color Of Machine

I USE THE DRINKMASTER TO KEEP A VARIETY OF DRINKS ON HAND WITHOUT TAKING UP SPACE IN THE REFRIGERATOR, I AM SURPRISED THAT THERE IS NO WATER FILTER ATTACHMENT, ESPECIALLY WHEN THE TASTE OF THE WATER AFFECTS THE TASTE OF THE PRODUCT. YOU HAVE THEM ON YOUR COFFEE MAKER. YOU NEED TO ADD SAMPLES WITH THE PRODUCT, BECAUSE EVEN IF YOU ORDER BOTH PRODUCTS AT THE SAME TIME, YOU WILL NOT RECEIVE THEM AT THE SAME TIME, THIS IS THE FIRST KEURIG PRODUCT THAT DID NOT COME WITH SAMPLES. I WILL BE WAITING FOR YOU TO GET PEPSI PRODUCTS IN THE FUTURE. OVERALL I THINK ITS A GOOD PRODUCT, THE DRINKS TASTE A LOT BETTER THAN SODA STREAM IMITATION DRINKS.
Pros: Cold Water And Drink, Good Tasting Drink, Easy setup, Original Coke Flavor
Cons: One Size Drink, No Water Filter Attachmen, No Samples Included, Price A Little High

Refreshing taste without the guilt

As a health conscious parent and spouse I was happily surprised to taste the delicious beverages that I was able to prepare with my Keurig kold drink maker. The machine was fully assembled and the instructions were very easy to follow. More importantly I was given a contact number in case I had any questions answered by a live operator. I had my husband try the first drink and he loved it, he described it as light and refreshing without the gassy feeling he experienced when drinking canned soft drinks. My eight year old loved the flavored waters which I did not hesitate to let her try bc the sugar content was not very high. My only concerns are the initial loud noise during the 2 hr cooling period and concerns about the electric bill but otherwise it's an essential in every home. I received compensation/free product for my unbiased review.
Pros: Cool, Innovative, Easy to use, Refreshing
Cons: Large Pods, Loud, Electric Cost

I hate to say it, but Keurig Kold is a disaster.

I wanted to like my Keurig Kold. When I got it, I was excited. I couldn't wait to use it for the first time. But, sadly, there was one problem after another. 1) The Kold is huge. It weighs 23 pounds, give or take, and has a huge footprint on the kitchen counter. 2) The Kold takes two hours to "warm up" after you plug it in. You can't make soda instantly. 3) There is no power switch. It has to be plugged in constantly, which is a big power drain. 4) It takes 90 seconds to make a soda. That's a long time, even taking into account that the water is being quickly chilled. 5) You have to remove a foil sticker from the bottom of each pod before using it. One time I forgot and ended up with a cup of sparkling water. 6) Each pod costs at least $1, which means a mistake is a waste of money. Also, each drink is only 8 ounces, meaning you pay much more per ounce than other options. 7) Twice (so far, out of 29 drinks) the syrup in the pod failed to come out. I had to remove the pod and pry off the bottom of it with a knife, then pour the syrup into the cup of carbonated water. The Keurig Kold is a great concept. I love the fact that it doesn't need CO2 cylinders and the soda it makes is tasty and refreshing. I just wish it wasn't so cost-prohibitive. Or large. Or wasteful. Or that it had such a high fail rate. I'm glad I own a Kold, but I couldn't, in good conscience, recommend it as a purchase.
Pros: Great tasting, Conversation Piece, Cool, Fresh
Cons: Expensive, Small Serving Size, Slow, Doesn't always work, Huge
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

When I first received the Keurig Kold I was a bit surprised at the size of the machine. Having seen the coffee makers on the shelves I was expecting something a little more compact. If you have limited counter space this may not be for you. Luckily, this isn't an issue for me. Though the manual says it takes approximately two hours for the initial chip mine took closer to three and a half. A minor annoyance since I was super exited to get to using it. Once it was ready I eagerly primed the machine per the instructions and loaded up the first pod. To be honest, I wasn't expecting much. I've heard nothing but bad things when it comes to taste from the prime competitors machine. I tried Coke first. To my surprise it was actually very tasty! I'm not a big Coke fan personally and usually only like it from the soda fountain and not so much from the can or bottle. This one tastes very similar to a fountain/bottle hybrid (if that makes sense). I next tried root beer (which I do not like, but my husband loves). Sadly, even though we removed the safety seal two pods in a row malfunctioned and we were left with dirty looking carbonated water. We didn't attempt the other two In the pack. All the other ones we've tried have been good (cane cola, ginger ale, and Dr. Pepper). Now on to the math of it all. I typically buy whatever brand of soda is on sale for the week. So it averages out to approx .20 - .30 per 8oz portion. Yes I understand I'm being slightly inconvenienced by having to load myself and my son into the car to go get said soda, but to me it's worth the savings. The pods for this machine make an 8oz portion of soda for $1.25! More if you wind up paying shipping also. I understand there is a convenience factor to having it directly delivered to your home, but the cost far outweighs that in my opinion. It's a neat gadget. And I'll keep a couple boxes of pods around for guests as it's far easier to stock a couple boxes of these vs. bottles or cans of other things, but this will not be my primary source for beverages. All that being said, if you have the extra money, then yes, I'd recommend this product.
Pros: Good taste, Instantly Chilled
Cons: Cost Per Pod, Bulky

A Complete waste of money

I have long waited this machine. When Coke bought into Keurig, I was expected to see a unit that was done right. The company has now blown it twice with Keurig 2.0 and now with Kold. They have lost contact with the consumer. With the amount of money it costs to get started with Kold, you can as Coke says it itself "Have the real thing". Go to the store and buy a great tasting can of coke for a fraction of the cost. You have been warned.
Pros: I Had 400 To Gamble On
Cons: Cost Of 4 Pods 499, The Cost Is Too High, The Machine Is Too Big, Does Not Taste As Good, Too Long To Chill Water
