Too Pricey

This idea is great, but its way way way overpriced and pods are extremely overprices. Way cheaper to just buy soda at the store. Cost not worth the lost counter space or fridge space. Nice try but total fail. Where is Mountain Dew? You could beat out SodaStream as they took that away so you could monopolize it. Bring all the prices way down and maybe you will make more sales.

Kold is cool!

We are a gadget loving family, so needless to say we were pretty excited to try the Keurig Kold. We have a competitor's product and only used that for about a month before deciding it was more trouble than it was worth. What excited me about the Kold is that there are no CO2 canisters to deal with. You don't have to buy special bottles or cups to use with this. And there is no worry about anything exploding off of the machine! The Kold is fairly intuitive, especially if you are already familiar with the Keurig coffee machines. The soda pods work in a very similar way to the Kcups we are all familiar with. The only difference being, you need to take a foil seal off of the bottom of the Kold pods before you pop them in the machine. Do NOT forget to take that foil off! It takes about a minute for the machine to gather the water needed for your drink and to chill it. Totally worth the wait for a cold drink! While the Kold takes up a good deal of counter space and does need to remain plugged in at all times, I think it's worth it. This machine frees up fridge space that might otherwise be taken up with various cans and/or bottles. In our house we all like different sodas. This is a great way for us to be able to have what we want on demand without taking up fridge space. The Kold pods are some sort of magic! I have no idea how the little beads contained in the top of the pods create carbonation, but they do! I was afraid the drinks would taste like those old fizzy soda tablets from back when my parents were young. Those things were nasty. Very salty and not very soda-like at all. But the drinks aren't like that at all. The Coca Cola comes out tasting exactly like Coca Cola you'd buy in the store. It's awesome! You can also make sparkling water, flavored water, or just plain old cold water with this machine, which I think is great! I'm not sure if I'd drop the cash needed to buy this machine, but it's a lot of fun and I really glad we have it. And we will definitely be buying Kold pods to keep the soda fun flowing! I received the Keurig Kold to try in exchange for my unbiased opinion.

As an occasional soda drinker I appreciate that this saves refrigerator space. I can always get a cold drink without waiting for a can to get cold. My husband is a big soda drinker, he lives that the Kold can make so many ice cold drinks in a row. Even the kids love it, even though they don't drink soda they LOVE watching the Kold make them. The giggles and amazement over a carbonated drink coming from a machine without a co2 tank is adorable. This product was given to me free, all thoughts in the review are mine.
Pros: No Co2 Tank Needed, Fun, Easy, Delicious, Flavor Variety
Cons: Always Plugged In, Huge Machine, No Coke Reward Points

In theory, this is a great product. It has built in refrigeration and you don't need anything but water and the soda pods. Unfortunately, the soda pods are big and expensive and you only get eight ounces at a time. Definitely not worth the money.

I don't get it. I am a big coke drinker what is 8 ounces going to do for you. At 1.25 a pod you can go broke. Also half my pods don't work.. I called and complained once, they said they will send me new ones . Now more don't work .am i supposed to call and complain the whole day. YES I ALWAYS TAKE OF THE FRESHNESS SEAL. I hope they refine the product

My kids love the Dr. Pepper, Coke and Sprite! I was a little hesitant at first as there were comments about pods not working; we've had no problems at all! I usually buy during promotions and use my Klub Rewards which really helps bring the cost down. It's fun for the kids and frees up room in fridge which is a big benefit!

Feels Like The Future

The Keurig Kold is a very nice kitchen appliance. Once plugged in (after the initial 2 hour wait) you insert the pod with the drink flavor you want, activate the machine, and after about 60 seconds it pours an 8 oz glass of your chosen beverage. It literally feels like the future. It feels like owning something from 80's sci-fi movies. It feels great to show your friends your fancy new appliance. It is also nice to have brand name products, such as Coca-Cola and Dr Pepper. The products DO taste good, Especially the first minute after making it. The problem is that the machine doesn't quite get the carbonation like the original drinks. Sometimes it tastes just as good, at first, but then after just a few minutes the carbonation fizzes out and it goes flat. This is probably why the machine makes 8 oz servings only. I couldn't finish the 16 oz Dr Pepper I made with the machine because all the carbonation had been lost by the time I got to the bottom of the glass. Outside of that issue, it does make good cold drinks. The only other issue is the price. It is expensive, but that is to be expected. What some people may not realize is that it uses about the same amount of power as a minifridge and pretty much needs to stay plugged in all the time because it takes two hours to get it's cooling ability ready if it is unplugged. Also the pods. Holy cow the pods. About five dollars for four pods. That's $1.25 per 8 oz serving. At that point you may as well stick to cans of your favorite beverage, especially since they do taste better. Overall, it makes the machine not cost effective, but man it sure is cool and makes you feel like you are living in the future.
Pros: Tastes good, Drinks Always Cold, Works Quickly, Stylish Design, Feels Like The Future
Cons: Expensive To Operate, Must Remain Plugged In, Pods Are Expensive, Expensive To Buy, Impractical

A fun way to enjoy a cold beverage!

The Keurig KOLD is a fun and easy way to make cold drinks. It is very easy to use and makes perfectly cold drinks that do not need ice. It is especially great for people that don't drink a lot of soda and don't want to waste a whole 2-liter for just one or two glasses. It's also nice for families, like mine, with people who like a variety of drinks...my husband likes soda, my kids and I would rather have flavored water, but we can all enjoy the KOLD. I wish the water reservoir was a bit bigger--we only made 4 or 5 drinks before we had to refill it. The drinks are also smaller than we would have liked, but the soda was super-fresh with lots of bubbles, which was great. The machine does take up a good deal of space on our countertop, but our kitchen is a bit small, so that may not matter to others. All in all, I would say that the KOLD is a big hit with our family.
Pros: No Waste Of Flat Soda, Good For Parties, Carbonated Bevs Are Fresh, Easy to use, Drinks Are Perfectly Cold, Good Variety Of Drinks
