Fresh Soda at Home is nice, but expensive

I received compensation/free product for my unbiased review. I love that you can now make name-brand sodas at home! The set up was easy, according to the directions. The pods come in a 4 pack, and each pod makes one 8 oz glass of soda. I think that's the first problem. The pods are very expensive, and they only make 8 oz. You can do much much better buying cans at the grocery store. The Name-Brand sodas are made with High Fructose Corn Syrup, but the craft sodas are made with pure cane sugar. I liked that. It takes about 90 seconds to make on 8 oz glass, so a little on the time consuming side. The pods are a bit wasteful. Other soda makers allow you to put extra carbonation in your drinks if you like them more fizzy, but this doesn't. It's a set amount. The unit itself is very large. It takes up almost the entire depth of the kitchen countertop. I do like the sleek, white look. Very classy. The unit is quiet after the initial 2 hour cool down. I think this would be great in a movie room or bar area, but probably not in your kitchen for everyday use, because its so large. The pods are not cost-effective.

Cons: Not Enough Carbination, Large, Bulky, Very expensive, Pods Expensive

I got to try the Keurig Kold in a company meeting. The lines to try the Kold brewer were filled with anxious customers. The brewer performed without a hitch making drink after drink as advertised. The flavor and carbonation were perfect. Here's a tip: start with ice cold water in the reservoir and the chill down time will be faster.
Pros: No Larger Than My Toaster, Great flavor

I am addicted to fountain soda. The Keurig Kold is better than McDonalds! I don't use it everyday due to the high cost for the pods. A little over a dollar for 8 ounces. I just ordered several boxes because you have them on sale. Best gift ever...
Pros: Make Your Own Soda At Hom
Cons: Much Better Than Bottles, Costly

I love this machine! I read up on all the reviews about the KOLD. It was told it was large, make noise like a refrigerator and the PODS are expensive for four. When I first got it, I let my picky husband try it first. As I watch his expression on his face, it was very pleasing. He said "This is very good, it taste like the real thing" and now everyone comes over to the house he wants them to try it. The pods are expensive so I am picky when people come over wanting to drink more than one. But the plus side, everyone has a choice on what they want to drink and I don't have to worry about the bottle going flat, when left in the refrigerator for a few days.
Pros: The Drink Is Always Cold, The Taste Is Great, I Can Choose A Variety, Soda Do Not Get Flat
Cons: The Machine Is Loud, Pods Expensive For Four, Takes Awhile To Prime, Need More Soda Selections

Bought the Keurig Kold as soon as it was available. At first it was difficult to get pods delivered quickly, but since then it's been easy. I love the product and the drinks it makes. I prefer the name brands like Coke, Diet Coke and Sprite.

We enjoy having the variety of beverages available without taking up lots of space for canned or bottled drinks. Also, the drinks are very true to the taste of canned or bottled product (e.g. Coke tastes just like Coke from a bottle). Plus, it's a novelty that makes it fun to make a beverage.

When I first purchased this machine I wasn't sure rather I would keep it. But after a few weeks I found I enjoy it. I only wish it made bigger servings and had diet caffeine coke as I drink that the most. It is a GREAT idea and I believe they will improve with time.
