Worst purchase ever

This product was recommended by HP and it actually crashed my new computer. I was never able to get it to work. a complete waste of money. I actually ended up installing all my old stuff manually. I wish I had never bought it and would certainly not recommend it to anyone.

I tried to move data from an XP Laptop to the new Windows 7. Only a small portion was captured and transfered. I am trying to use the PCsyc program on the disc now to transfer data piece by piece.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Ineffective at best, dangerous at worst

The transfer from the old machine seemed OK at first; all of the icons appeared as they should. But none of the programs would launch properly.
What's worse, the setup program from Microsoft Office wouldn't even run! And other parts of the machine were affected as well. I had to do a complete rollback and manually transfer the programs by using their install programs and providing the appropriate registration information.

I would recommend this product only for transferring data, not programs.

Followed directions and the product does not seem to work. Some kind of connection problem. The program is loaded on both pc's, no progress made beyond that. Is there a help desk to call for assistance?

Can not pause once transfer has started. Does not allow selection of individual files/folders. Does not transfer any application software.

When I called for tech support (in India) I was told I didnot have the latest version. We tried several things and got no results. In all fairness to the product, my old harddrive may have been part of the problem but I don't know. The tech was very difficult to understand.

I bought a new HP notebook with a hybrid drive. Laplink's PC Mover could not deal with it at all, even after I called tech support. The software was basically useless to me.
