DO NOT BUY THIS PROGRAM

Laplink PC Mover did not work. No matter what I did, over 5 hours, I could not get this program to "find" the new computer, and start the transfer. BUT IT GETS WORSE: the program DID show me that it was ready to move ALL data from my old machine - no choice in the matter. It would have moved ALL installed programs, even if I no longer use them. AND it would have then had to move the registry, with all the bugs and issues I BOUGHT A NEW COMPUTER TO GET AWAY FROM.
Do not buy or use this program.
Oh....and I'm stuck with it: no refund.

waste of my money

This was a waste of my money because it did not work for me. I wish someone would have told me that before I purchased it. My old computer was too unstable to allow the files to transfer and I did not even use to the software. I wished I could have returned it. A simple copy and paste method is what I used. So thanks for nothing.

Since I used PC Mover, I have had a nightmare of problems with the computer that received the new information. My new HP Elite was working sooo very well before I migrated the information from my other computer. I had the sending computer checked for all kinds of viruses, malware, and spyware. There was none. I have had to reinstall my DSL, my printer, all of my drivers, and Lord knows what else on my new receiving computer. Several of the programs that were on my new HPE Elite have gotten lost. THIS IS A MESS, MESS, MESS!!!!!

Great Product

"I purchased PCmover along with my new computer. The software loaded easily onto both computers, but I ran into a problem when the data actually started to transfer. I didn't realize that my old PC had a partition on the D drive and from that point on, everything went wrong because I tried to move back in the program. (The next time I buy a new system, I'll check out my old one more carefully to see what's actually on it and where it's located.) I called Laplink and the staff was very patient and helped me get the software back to the correct starting point and instruct me what to do. From that point on, the whole process only took 30-35 minutes! It moved everything so I didn't have to go onto my new PC and reload any of the software programs that had been on the old system. It even transferred all of my internet Favorites, music, and pictures!
I am a VERY happy camper! I would recommend this product to everyone that gets a new computer. "

I am not computer savvy, but I purchased this product to transfer everything I needed from my 'old' laptop to my new laptop. I followed the instructions given on the cd, and I was pleasantly surprised to find how easy it was. This is a very clever product and it transferred everything I wanted transferring. But even more importantly, it didn't transfer the stuff I didn't want. I left it for a couple of hours transferring everything I wanted, and then came back to find it was all done. Would I recommend this product?........You bet I would!!!

never could get it downloaded , finally downloaded all my stuff on a scan disk, if it hadn,t been soft ware I couuldn,t sent back ,would have gone back to you

Not a good mover

It moved programs not compatable with my new laptop and caused alot of problems that I am still dealing with! Basicly it moved everything from one lap top to another without making sure it would work with the new programs. This has caused alot of problems for weeks now.
