I have only had this TV about a week. Really impressed with the picture. I had to make some changes to my liking from the default: bright/contract/sharpness, etc. For the price point it was a good value, but could have included 3D. Having a built in Ethernet port is great to run my Netflix so I was basically able to remove my Blu-ray from the entertainment center. Speakers are OK, but what do you expect from a 2" deep TV? They are good for what I watch on the TV. TV setup was simple, plug in all hdmi cables, Ethernet and then power cord to wall. Turn TV and setup was easy as it walked you through it. Once plugged in, was watching TV in less than 5 minutes. I like auto-updates so I do not have to do anything. I recommend this TV. In fact, I bought it on a friends suggestion once he bought his online. On a side note, with a built in browser, a qwerty keyboard on remove would be nice.
Pros: Bright display, Realistic color, Lightweight, good picture, built in ethernet port
i HAVE THIS TV FOR 8 DAYS. IT WAS FAIRLY EASY TO SET UP. THE PICTURE IS GREAT. THE SOUND IS BAD, TINNY, RASPY AND ALL ADJUSTMENTS AVAILABLE FAIL.I HAVE NOT YET USED THE SMART APPLICATIONS OR THE BROUSER SO NO COMMENT AT THIS TIME. THE INSTRUCTIONS AREWRITTEN POORLY, INCOMPLETE AND INADEQUATE. I AM CONSIDERING RETURNING THIS TV TO THE STORE I BOUGHT IT FROM.
Tv is the best tv. Starts up incredibly fast. Smart enough to switch to other devices when turned on (ie. Everytime I turn on my PS3. It automatically jumps to that source without me having to switch source inputs manually.) Overall very happy with tv.
Pros: Built-in speakers, Bright display, Realistic color, Lightweight, smart tv
The TV 's overall performance is wonderful. I like the Smart functions. This is my 2nd experience with Samsung, and Smart features, and I am still trying to get a feel for all they offer.
The picture is great, the speakers are better than my previous Samsung TVs. However this is an issue with using the TV remote to simultaneously turn the TV and the cable box on and off. Using the Samsung TV remote I can turn on the TV and the cable box, but as soon as the TV boots up the cable box turns off. There is a similar issue when using the Comcast cable remote without the Samsung TV remote. The Samsung tech solution is to use the TV remote to turn on the TV and if the cable box does not turn on, to then use the cable box remote to power on the cable box. This is an inappropriate solution for what seems to be a great TV otherwise.
Lastly I would have liked the TV to have an earphones jack.
