Use a 9V alkaline battery
on July 25, 2023

The rechargeable battery does die too quickly.
I have successfully used a 9V alkaline battery for years. Just drop in and use something as a spacer to hold the battery in place.

My Go to Label Maker
on December 16, 2023

I have had My Label maker for about 1 and a half years. it has been my go to label maker as I have had many of them from small handheld to typewriter like macines. they all were difficult for me to use as tI had to jump around on the keyboard and never really got to use to create . the machines were capable of so much more . I kist did not have the time to learn all that . This label maker goes right to work out of the box . I was able to create exactly what I wanted very quickly. I have now switched from an Imac to a Mac mini M@ and now there is no software for it . So I am looking for a way to make this work.

Battery died, again.
on April 26, 2024
Posted by: Ananoymous
I had one of these, which I used attached to my computer. For unknown reasons the battery died, at which point it refused to print altogether. This was really frustrating, as I never use the battery: it is connected to my computer full time.
I bought a new one, which quickly developed a "stripe": one of the printing heads apparently failed, so there's always a white stripe across everything I print. Now, the battery on this one has died as well.
Crappy quality, I suggest you consider a product from another vendor.

A workhorse label maker.
on August 17, 2024

I have had two of these Plug-n-Play label makers for many years (in excess of 10 years) and have never had a problem with either of them. Recently, though, I got a message that the battery was low on power and I couldn't print. Reviewing the reviews/comments it was suggested that I try another battery charger (not the USB port on my computer. I used by cellphone charger and used the cord from my labelmaker to plug into that. Appears to be working, and I am now able to print my labels as before. A lot of reviews are bashing the product, and I feel these are unjustified. The printer is simple to use and has met my needs. This is the first and only time I have had any problems with it and it was a simple fix.

Read if you have battery issues

Just writing this review to clear the air: if your rechargable battery ran out, it's most likely because the USB plug you use doesn't have enough power to charge it. Simply plug the USB cable to a cell phone charger or other port that has enough power. Once charging, the status light flashes 3 times on, then pauses and repeats.
