said battery needed charged.

Bought about 18 months ago, was doing great until it said the battery needed charged. Checked battery, voltage was showing 8.1 vdc with volt meter, found the pc board the battery was wired to bad. Several parts on the pc board overheated and fried.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Horrible

I live in Chile, and i bought this product 2 years ago, it works fine for a year, then the battery started failing.
I did'nt print 1 roll i those 2 years.
Now the battery did'nt work and you can't use it "if the battery is not charged".
Please don't waste your money in this product

Same battery issue

Loved this when I first purchased but now... I have purchased 3 of these units over the course of the last couple of years. Originally one for work and one for home. Got a third one after the battery stopped charging-guess I should have read the reviews before buying another. Now I have 3 junk units to dispose of and a whole pile of unused D1 cassettes. Not shelling out $$ to replace a battery at about the same price that I paid for the original unit.

This is a terrible product

The software is slow (and terrible). The hardware is slow. It is inexplicably battery powered. When the battery gives up, it costs almost as much as a new unit. DO NOT BUY.

Waste of money

Not sure which is worst between the software and the hardware. It's a race to the bottom for sure. I've had this for about over a year and its battery is dead which makes this product useless. The software is ridiculously disappointing.

If you are having issues with the battery, please remove it from the device and clean the contacts on the battery and the device with a cotton bud and solvent. Find a better design, waste of money!!!

So when these labelmanager pnp printers work they are nice. Unfortunatly, they don't last long. Mine like many others says it has the battery issue of not charging, and the cost to replace the battery is almost as much as buying a new printer. (My battery tests out fine voltage wise) I won't buy another Dymo unit for this simple reason. As far as I'm concerned, they built in the obsolescence of these machines to keep sales going. Not happening here, I will buy another brand and hope they hold up better.

Awesome label maker

The plug and play is a very simple label maker and worked right away when I hooked it up to my computer. I have two other label makers not made by DYMO and this is so much easier. Thanks DYMO

DOA... sort of

Attempting to use this on a mac. The lite version of the software prints the text half off the label and the full version simply doesn't work.. AT ALL. Press print... and nothing happens. Even if it did work the software is clunky and difficult to use. Completely useless and I'm returning it tomorrow.

I apologize that you have experienced issues printing with your LabelManager PnP. This printer is compatible with Mac you may just need an alternate version of the Dymo Label Light software depending on what version of Mac OX S you are running. Instead of attempting to use the software that starts up when the device is connected install Dymo Label Light 2.1.1.
