Incompatible with Windows 11. Trash.

Incompatible with current Windows 11 installs .DYMO will NOT help you and refuses to acknowledge the issue. The ONLY way I am able to use the PNP printer is on older Windows machines (Win 10) or using a virtual machine and passing through USB to the VM.

Hi.
Thank you for contacting us and sharing your feedback with us.
This device is compatible with DYMO Connect for Desktop version 1.4.6 and DYMO Label Light version 2.0 for Windows 11. Additionally, a pending update on your operating system may cause issues with the printer by deactivating the Windows services called WMI Performance Adapter and/or Windows Management Instrumentation or causing them to not work as expected. Here's what you can do about it: 1. Press Windows+R on your keyboard. A 'Run' window should appear. 2. In the Run window type: services.msc and press OK. 3. Find Windows Management Instrumentation, right-click it and choose Properties. In the Properties window, check if the startup type is set to Automatic and if the service status is Running. If not, change those values to these statuses. Repeat this step for the WMI Performance Adapter as well. 4. Restart your computer. 5. Launch the Dymo Software

Response from Dymo.comBy DYMO NA, July 23, 2024
Hi.
Thank you for contacting us and sharing your feedback.
We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience caused.
To resolve this issue, power cycle the printer by unplugging the USB cable and removing the battery from the printer. Then, press the power button 15 times to discharge any residual energy. After that, reconnect the battery and plug the printer's USB directly into your computer's port. If you are using a USB hub, make sure it has data transfer capabilities.
NOTE: We recommend connecting the printer directly to the computer as we do not support USB hubs/docking stations.
If you are still having issues (If you have more questions or feedback), please reach out to us via our website or through LiveChat. We’re available Mon.-Fri. 9am - 5pm Eastern Time.

Garbage
on August 12, 2024
Posted by: very angry customer
Only works if battery is not low even though the device is receiving power supply via USB. It is useless when the battery is no longer charging. What a piece of horse dung. It should be able to function without a battery and while plugged in. I have a lot of labels of various colors.... now they all will be discarded.

Sometimes jams, but that is still ok. My main problem, that software asked for update. After update software do not see printer. OSX sees it as printer. Software say allow extension, but it does not turn up at the extensions. OSX Sonoma. Real frustrating...

I've had it with this label maker. I have followed all the troubleshooting suggestions and it still prints nothing or so faintly that you can't possibly read it. Do not buy this product.

BATTERY PROBLEM ! NEVER AGAIN !!!

This is my second Dymo label maker and I made the mistake of not reading the reviews and buying another unit. When your Battery stops working, you can buy a new battery for almost the cost of the entire label maker or throw this Dymo in the trash!!! Without a battery it will never work!!!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Should have read the comment before. I confirm. Once the battery is dead the product is dead. Careless development team and company.

Hello.
Thank you for your feedback. we sincerely apologize for the inconvenience caused.
The LabelManager PnP was designed with an integrated battery for portability and convenience. However, we recognize that a non-replaceable battery can be a concern for some users. Your feedback is incredibly valuable and has been shared with our product development team to explore potential improvements in future designs.
In the meantime, would like to help resolve your issue, If the light flashes 3 times, pauses and flashes 3 times again this status means that the battery is being charged. Charge it for at least 3 hours and see if it’s possible to print.
If the light is flashing rapidly the battery is not inserted, or it is not detected by the printer. Double check if the battery sits in the compartment. Do note that it is hidden beneath a plastic cover.
In case of Windows, disable USB Selective Suspend Setting that prevents USB devices from being charged if a USB port is not active for some time. The setting can be disabled in Control Panel --> Power Options --> Change plan settings --> Change advanced power settings --> USB Settings.
