We also have a Bassett Hound that sheds non stop. We live in an older home that often gets very musty smelling when it rainsl. I was looking for a cleaner that not only would work deep into a berber carpet but help sanitize the air and room from the animals. I cleaned my carpet 3 weeks ago and still no strong dog odors. We are loving the fresh clean smell.
