Dangerous product

Very dangerous product. The front burners will turn themselves up to high temperature regardless of what you set them at. I saw that this was a problem with previous models and I figured that it HAD to have been addressed. Nope. If it wasn't for this I'd like it, but that's a pretty big snag

Not the double oven you want
on December 30, 2024

We bought this oven hoping for a quality cooking experience. Within a year both oven started cooking unevenly. Despite using just the bake setting only on the bottom oven, it constantly switches to convection mode. The temperatures don’t seem to match well with the actual input. Will be replacing. I would avoid this brand.

Hey there! If your LG range isn't heating properly, common causes include a faulty igniter, broken bake element, malfunctioning control board, or thermostat issues, which can lead to uneven or slow heating. Ensure the oven has power, check the door seal for damage, verify the control panel settings, and test the heating elements and temperature sensor for continuity or damage. Here is a link to some more information: http://spr.ly/6423aDnAH. If this persists, consider contacting a professional for further assistance. Send us a private message on social media @LGUSSupport can help find more steps or discuss repair options to improve your oven’s performance. Let us assist in addressing this for you! Extreme fire hazard, do not buy!

I've had this oven for a few years and have had a few close calls with the knobs being accidentally bumped, but the closest was last night, the stove came on either from my dogs or me bumping into the knobs when I was vacuuming, I'm not even sure, I just came into the kitchen and it was full of smoke but luckily I caught it before it flashed over and burnt the house down. There are many reviews reporting the same problem with the knobs turning on too easily from just a light bump, or from little kids or dogs. There is also a class action suit and LG should do something to fix this immediately before people die. I wouldn't be surprised at all if many people have already died or lost their homes due to this terrible design.

Hello there, Allen. Thank you for sharing your experience with us. We understand your situation and are very concerned to hear about the safety issue you've encountered with your LDE4413ST double oven.

For added safety, we recommend regularly checking the burner knobs to ensure they are in the off position when not in use. Additionally, it might help to adjust your usage habits around the range to avoid accidental bumps from pets or cleaning activities. If you're still concerned about this, we'd be happy to assist you further in ensuring your unit is working properly.

I Am Retiring "the Six-Week Cooking Window!"

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When I cooked with a single oven, I was always frustrated as I tried to have the entree and all the side dishes ready at the same time. About 20 years ago, I had become so frustrated with the time-consuming dinner juggling act that I established a " six-week cooking window" -- a period from Thanksgiving to New Year's Day during which I would be willing to prepare multi-ingredient, multi-step, multi-dish meals. With my new LG double oven, I am no longer frustrated that my entree is ready to serve while I wait for the vegetables to roast because the entrees are ready within a few minutes of the side items. In fact, I am so thrilled with my LG double oven that I am planning to retire the juggling act and the "six-week cooking window."

Horrible stove top that never looks clean, burners that don’t get hot then too hot, problem with side of stove and LG says it’s not their issue, but mine. I’ve had the stove only 6 months.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Not happy at all.... if the knobs are rubbed up on the wrong way they will turn on.... I can’t count hour mich stuff I had to grow away because the burners were turned on without being known and destroyed stuff.... had a kitchen kitchen because of it in 2016.... and just last week came home with glass everywhere because my dog jumped up and his paw turned the burners on and the glass exploded from heat..... and not to mention when I turn them on to actually cook I have to guess the temp because the numbers came off within a couple of months of owning this oven..... I have EVERYTHING in my kitchen and laundry room LG and besides me range and dishwasher, nothing but problems
Only good this this over has going for it is the 2 ovens have saved me a few times

My dog turned the burners on and almost got us kil
on January 18, 2023

My dog was going for something on the stove top and managed to turn on three out of the five burners. It ignited some cardboard nearby and we woke up at 2am to a giant fire on the stovetop. If we didn't have smoke detectors, the range, our kitchen, and probably our house would've been ruined. This range is NOT safe for houses with dogs or probably children. The handles are way too easy to turn.
Besides the fire, the top oven has definitely hot/cold spots, so much so that I have to turn my items halfway through cooking. The bottom oven is the opposite, and I usually have to subtract 2-5 minutes from cook time.

Huge Disappointment
on December 7, 2016

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased the range/stove approx 2 months ago and have come to believe that this was a big mistake. The stovetop requires gentle use and care. The glass stovetop is easily scratched by sliding pans. You also need to be careful not to drop a pot or you could crack the glass surface. It is also difficult to keep clean, you really need to use elbow grease to get the smallest of spills out....moreover, it requires constant cleaning (black shows everything). The oven works great, however the "Easy Clean" feature is useless, does not work even on the smallest of spills. All my appliances and TV's are LG and I love them all, but this stove gets a big thumbs down for me. Sorry LG.
