What a Dishwasher!

Bought this with a whole suite of appliances, was a bit concerned b/c it is just manufactured and brand new...well, LOVE it, they really thought of everything with this one and wouldn't change a thing! Wonderful to have CLEAN dishes, plus it is SO quiet, even though it is in my island!
I would recommend this to a friend!

This is the second model of GE hidden panel we have tried. Both leak due to the steam vent being at the bottom. Steam has to condense before it goes down, thus water on the floor.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This dishwasher is stylish to look at and does a great job getting my dishes clean. It's very quiet, and plays a little jingle when it's done. The Heated Drying option adds over an hour onto the run time, which seems a bit excessive, but it works great.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Poor quality control

We bought this appliance 2 months ago and have complained to the store that it wasn't cleaning dishes. Finally, a technician came and discovered the main spray arm in the middle compartment was never installed, hence the dirty dishes. It will take over a week to get the part and fix it. We think we got a "lemon" and are wondering what else could be wrong with it if it left the factory with a major part missing!

The drying cycle for this dishwasher is UNCONSCIONABLY LONG. Why can't the consumer adjust to his/her own needs? I now set my kitchen timer so I can cancel the wash/dry process after one hour and five minutes, so just opening the dishwasher door then finishes off the process beautifully. (The current drying cycle adds 64 minutes onto a 49-minute (light) wash.). GE, this is an incredible waste of both time and electricity. Please fix!

As far as functionality goes, this dishwasher works great. My glasses come out crystal clear, and my silverware doesn't have any watermarks. That's the most important thing.
It's so quiet I've had to double check it's running on numerous occasions.
It could use improvement on the ease of use of the buttons at the top - it's hard to tell if you've turned it on or hit the right thing.
The racks are not spaced out well for my dishes. My medium square plates always tilt and prevent the bottom spinner from spinning. The stair step design on the top rack seems unnecessary and makes it difficult to put dishes in an orderly fashion.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
