This is the 2nd café dishwasher we've purchased. This one is for our new home. We are much happier with the changes GE has made to the café dishwasher. It is super quiet! Love all of the extra jets and sprayers. Dishes are sparkling clean. I'm so glad we decided to give the Café dishwasher another try. We were not disappointed.

The only thing holding me back from giving this 5 stars is....doesn't dry 100%..but mostly it does. It cleans, it's quiet and that's all we need!

Worse Dishwasher Ever!

I have been a homeowner for over 30 years and have had several dishwashers throughout the years. This is by far the worse one I have ever purchased and was the most expensive I have ever bought. I wanted to match the stove and refrigerator when we remodeled the kitchen just over 1 year ago. One month out of warranty the pump broke. Not only did I not have a dishwasher for several weeks but it damaged the newly installed wood floors which now have mold and have to be replaced! Just two months after replacing the pump, now the machine will not start! All the lights function, but the start button is dead! I cannot express how disappointed I am in this dishwasher. I have only had it installed a total of 16 months. I do not recommend this product at all! One star is the lowest you could assign, however, I really say 0 stars. Get something else!

Extremely disappointing appliance

My wife and I designed and built a new house, moved in May 2015. We bought all GE Cafe series kitchen appliances (gas range, dishwasher, French door refrigerator, microwave, range hood) and have been disappointed in both the fridge (CYE22TSHSS) and the dishwasher. We've had our appliance/service company that installed the units out twice for the poor performance of the dishwasher. I could go on about how I pre-wash everything that goes in before a cycle, how almost nothing in the top rack gets clean, and so forth but I'm tired of 7 months of battling with the appliance company about things we "should try" to enhance the performance. I clean the filter after every cycle, I run hot water before every cycle, I run the BOOST and STEAM and HEATED DRY features and the issue remains, this dishwasher does not do it's job whatsoever. Frustrating and insanely annoying.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Poor machine

Dishwasher broke within the first year of using. I would not buy again since it broke so quickly.
Now I have to buy a new machine. Clearly, I will not buy GE in the future since this machine broke so quickly.

Circulation pump

Terrible product. Had to replace dish racks due to poor design. Now the circulation pump is leaking. He should be ashamed to put this poor product in stores.

LCD screen burns out

We have had two of these units and for over a year we have been pleased but now the LCD screen on one of the units has burned out and we are left with a unit we cannot control. I could understand a mechanical failure but the LCD screen should not fail in 18 months.
