Washes well, poor design

It washes well. The only problems I see are with design. First, the door handle is too big so you are constantly bumping onto it while in the kitchen. Second, the detergent dispenser will not open if a big plate is too close. And third, why make the opening for the rinse so small. It is so difficult to refill. I have to use a syringe.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I BOUGHT THIS IN AUGUST OF THIS YEAR (2014) AND LOVE IT SO MUCH. THE FEATURES ARE GREAT AND IT IS EASY TO USE AND CLEANS LIKE A WHIZ. OH AND DID I MENTION HOW QUIET IT IS? YOU DON'T EVEN HEAR IT AT ALL!!!

I've been using this dishwasher for a couple of months and simply love it! I don't even know it's on, that's how quiet it is not to mention my dishes come out squeaky clean!

The appliance performance is just average. The finish and fitting of the door is not as good as other brands

Very quite and.washes well. Does not always use all the soap. A bottle washer has already lost it's nozzle.

Very nice, with one BIG exception

I purchased this dishwasher in June, 2014 and while it does a nice job washing dishes, is relatively quiet and looks great, I have had a service technician out four times trying to fix the door.
The problem is, when you shut the door it tends to pop open again. When I do get the door to stay closed, there is still tension trying to open the door, so the latching sensor seems to think the door isn't closed and won't run the dishwasher. The technician has been out four times. He has swapped the latching mechanism, added some washers, ordered a new gasket and on one occasion, simply disconnected one the the door springs which cased the door to fall open quickly (rather than slowly open so you don't damage the door or hit your shin!).
I have asked for a replacement dishwasher and am awaiting to hear back.
I would recommend this dishwasher. I just have a small issue that the technician has not been able to solve.

I love the streamlined profile of my GE Cafe Series dishwasher. This dishwasher does a fantastic job of cleaning pots and pans, flatware, stemware, silverware, bottles, blenders and just about everything else I've thrown into it. The top rack has additional sprayers integrated into one side for cleaning the INSIDE of bottles - its genius! Plus its very quiet and quite quick. We have noticed a huge discrepancy in effectiveness with different detergents and would recommend Cascade Liquid Gel if you live in a hard-water area.

I've only had this for a few weeks, but I can't believe I don't have to pre-rinse my dishes before putting them in the dishwasher! They come out soooo clean!
