Steady Performer with Great Printing Quality

Scanning software is simple but allows flexibility. Printing is quick and letter quality is great, very easy to read compared to the other printer in our office. It's a little louder than I had anticipated but not obnoxious or anything. We got this to replace our previous Brother printer which had an amazing run before it needed to be replaced.
I would recommend this to a friend!

poor color on normal documents; the internet showed beautiful color, but now that I have it; it is not worth the cost. I did everything technicians said to do, even to the point I changed all cartridges; still not as advertised.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

excellent for the price

Good workhorse, but slow in "best" mode. Huge areas in one color tend to have white lines when not in "best" mode, although the alignment test seems good and the cartridges are full. If the printer doesnt get your specific colors right, get an ICC profile, we did it and it worked pretty well. Love it !

Color quality is poor

Color printing/copying quality is disappointing and I would consdier quality to be poor. For me the biggest advantage is to be able to scan 11x17. If print/copy quality was better I'd be thrilled that this print can print/copy 11x17 but with poor quality I'm less than thrilled. Also copying speed is very slooooow. But it is an inkjet and it is an inexpensive 11x17 capable multifunction printer so expectation shouldn't be too high.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Amazing Printer

I have this multipurpose printer installed on a slide out shelf in a motor home. It is connected with a wireless ooma phone adapter to an ooma line via the internet. It has been in use a little over a year, and I just had to replace all of the color cartridges, but not the black one yet. I use the printer in support of two small businesses as well as for personal use. We have several pcs and cell phones which use the printer for printing and have never had any problems. I scan in EVERYTHING to the FILING CABINET folder on my PC. The printer works great and the single pass double sided scanning saves me a lot of time.

This printer has great features and performs flawlessly. This is my second Brother printer. If you want outstanding value, this is the printer for you.
