ACCEPTABLE PRODUCT AT AN AFFORDABLE PRICE

Overall, this unit prints acceptable office documents with and without graphics but even the best results are more of a "draft" quality even though we use 96 Bright plain paper. Even after changing from Natural to Vivid and adjusting other settings, blacks are just NOT black enough and actually closer to gray. Another complaint is that it is rather slow to start printing. On a positive note, cloud printing was successfully accomplished even though the procedure was buried in an unusual place in the printer's online web portal. I can still recommend this printer as long as fast printing and excellent quality are not a critical requirement.

I have to be honest with you here, this printer is not user friendly. If you're going to print 8 1/2 x 11" paper your fine. I got rid of an HP Photosmart All-in-One because of driver and software issues. But it did a better job of printing index cards, envelopes and photos. I'm not sure you can do that with this printer. For an office printer where you have to print these different types of paper it's not as easy as the HP. I would be very cautious in purchasing this printer for an office. I'm sure you can print these but it takes some effort.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Works Great!

It was a quick and easy set-up and the product works as advertised. Very fast printing, even on 11x17 paper, which is one reason for the purchase. I have scanned and printed from the device using USB and wireless. Both work without issues. The Control Center 3 interface gives me the flexibility to scan and save with ease. I've printed over 100 pages of documents 11x17 and 8.5x11 (mostly text and line graphics) and the ink that came with the printer still shows more than half full containers, so I am hoping that this is a good sign on the overall economy and long life for the ink cartridges.

Excellent choice for home office

Overall very happy with printer. Somewhat disappointed that Brother doesn't have updated print drivers for Windows 10. Printer easy to set up and operate. Manual feed excellent feature, particularly for envelopes but feed is somewhat balky, rarely accepts envelopes easily and often prints crooked.
I would recommend this to a friend!

My old borther was far better

I had the MFC-6490CW and I loved it, but it was time to replace it. It had a long life, but it finally died. I figured I would get another one like it. MISTAKE!!! If I would have purchased it at a store, I would have returned it already. The 6490 had 2 trays and I used the bottom tray for printing business checks. It worked great. The 6925 has 2 trays, but you do not have the option of assigning trays like that. I have to print check manually and the manual feed is garbage. I really wouldn't mind having to do it that way if the manual feed worked like it was supposed to. I set the blank check in the tray and most of the time it will not take hold of it, so I have to do it again, but this time I will have to hold it in place and push it into the feeder. Horrible.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Incomplete use status

I am sure you can help me with the following difficulty because this multi-task unit 6925 is very special and works beyond my expectations. I do have one problem thought, I purchased this unit to use alongside my little 4510 because it would handle 11x17 images which I use in my architectural practice. However, although it copies that size well I cannot get it to print from my computer in that size. 8-1/2x11 do fine when directed to but the larger size will not print my files in that size. I look for some assistance from Brother to make this happen for me because you have included everything else and I am sure it has the capability to do this. Your instruction writers just forgot about it because it is not in the literature. Thanks for such nice printers, keep up the good work and continue with your improvements. Bob

Getting to know you

I have had the machine for about 3 weeks. Its one of 3 that I use. We purchased this machine for 2 reasons 1) color 2) 11x17.
Current Opinion:
1) It's working very well I used over half the ink originally supplied. This is a little disappointing but I reverse judgment until I need to actually replace ink.
2) I think its noisy. But I can live with it.
3) I think its a little slow. But again I can live with it.
4) The trays seem a little fragile.
5) The single feed option is poorly designed at best.
All in all I like it and it will work for my purposes but I question it's durability and ink usage.
Ask me in a year.

Great Printer

This printer is fantastic. Setup was a breeze. Very easy and quick. Works great with computers as well as iPads and iPhones. The scanning functions, with a bit of software installation, work great and fully functional. Have only printed about 50 things so far but seems as though the ink cartridges will last a long time. I might not use the 11x17 functions of this printer very often but it will do it and that is great and an added bonus. I love the duplex functions too. Very easy to make this happen in the printer setup window before printing.
Overall it is a great and economical printer. Very glad to have added this to our office.
