[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This knife sharpener does exactly what it’s intended to do. Originally my husband sharpens our kitchen knives manually but we were both impressed with how well this works and how easy it is. Now I am able to easily sharpen knives without his help. One thing with this sharpener is that it will not perform miracles on crappy quality knives. They will still not be great. The knives that are of better quality, sharpened like brand new or even sharper then when I bought them. The reason I am only giving this 4 stars is because it’s made of plastic. I expected for this to be heavy duty and look like nice quality where I could leave it on my counter top. Since this is a plastic body it looks cheap so I just put it away after use. All in all it gets the job done and I am happy with it.

Keep Your Knives Sharp with The Trizor XV

I have about 20 quality knives from JA Henckels, Wusthof and MAC. The kitchen is where I spend a lot of time cooking and trying out new recipes. A sharp knife is a joy to use and the Chef's Choice Trizor XV is an awesome knife sharpener. I bought it to keep my Japanese MAC knives sharp and it worked so well I converted all my JA Henckels to the 15° edge by sharpening them on the Trizor XV. Its easy to use and my knives hold an edge longer when using the Trizor XV compared to other sharpeners. Well worth the price for any person that appreciates working with a sharp knife.

I found this product to only be average, or slightly below average. I have had to make multiple passes through all ports with my knives to get just average sharpening results. I was advised to get this product because my knives are high carbon steel with15 degree cutting angles. I waited many months for this product to become available and the performance has been very disappointing.
