I owned one of these about 6 years ago and loved it. Took it to Portugal when I moved there. But one afternoon, I forgot to plug it into the inverter to step down the 240 volt European power to 120 volt US. My machine burned up. Three years later I'm back in the US an no longer have to worry about plugging into the wrong outlet Just got my new one a week ago and all my knives are back to a sharp edge. Loving it again!

Dead out of the box. Took it out of the box and plugged it in to charge it. It wouldn’t charge nor would it work. Threw receipt away so no warranty coverage even though it didn’t work from the first moment out of the box.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
