This electric sharpener is nothing short of a culinary marvel, redefining the way I approach knife maintenance. Keeps my blades sharp meaning i can work faster and easier.

I bought the Chef's Choice 15XV PRO model to try and revive my kitchen knives and I am really impressed. I followed closely the included instructions and in a matter of minutes I was able to put a very sharp working edge on all my knives. I could not quite get my German knives as sharp as they came from the factory, but very very close indeed. I am sure that you can possibly achieve a sharper edge and more refined results with water stones providing you have the knowledge, skills and time but from convenience stand point this sharpener is unmatched. One con that I noticed is that the sharpener gets very hot quickly and I had to turn it off to cool down after sharpening approx. three or four knives (It's worth mentioning that some of my knives were very dull indeed and required extra passes to develop a burr). Overall I am very happy with the sharpener and looking forward to using it for many years.

I finally wore out the sharpening stones on my first Chef's Choice sharpener after 10 years of kitchen use. The new Model 15xV Trizor promises another decade of super sharpening.

Dead out of the box. Took it out of the box and plugged it in to charge it. It wouldn’t charge nor would it work. Threw receipt away so no warranty coverage even though it didn’t work from the first moment out of the box.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Works perfect to fine tune our Classic Wustof kitchen knives. It has brought them back to the exquisite blade sharpness they had when we bought them a year ago. Very happy with this purchase to maintain the sharpness with little to no effort...on my part.
