[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this AC unit about a month ago. It was fairly easy for my husband to install with little help from me. It cools down the bedroom along with helping our living room stay cool. Love having a remote!

My son got this unit for me you sent a remote that was not in the unit installed unit makes noise like it try's to cool but doesn't got unit to help cool upstares dealing with major illness and just can't deel with it and don't want to bother my son he is so bissy when I feel better I will try to get repaired or replaced

I Bought this product back in March of 2015 to put in my new game room... It cools the room down to 72 Degrees like the instructions say and works good. I just need to be able to set it at a higher Degree so its not so cold in the game room... I would recommend this product to people if one could change the temp for 72 to a higher room temperature. On the Question of "Where did you you purchase a new appliance?" My Ans is wrong but it's the only choice I could see to click on... My Ans. would be, "I am Building a Extra Game room on to my Regular Home." You need to adjust your answers.. for that particular Question.

Works great, poor QA and packaging

The air conditioning function of this unit seems to work well. The “slide-out installation feature is handy.
The unit could fit in a narrower window if you use your own weatherstripping instead of the provided plastic expandable side pieces.
Be aware that the manual states it must be started up in “Econ” mode due to US DoE requirements.
I received two units from another vendor. I thought the first had been damaged in transit, but later realized the outer shell was not dented but rather warped quite out of square due to incorrect placement of spot welts. Because of this, the paint was cracked in outside corner and susceptible to weathering.
The second unit appeared to have been re-packed in the warehouse; one of the air diverted louvers was unattached, the bottom of the metal shell was bent.
Both units had minor damage to the outside heat exchanger fins. The box was only padded on the corners with styrofoam, leaving the middle of each side unprotected. The factory should consider adding additional protection to all sides to reduce damage and rejects/returns. While probably more than sufficient when stacked on a pallet for a forklift, the weight of the unit puts much stress on the minimal foam provided when the carton is loaded onto a hand truck or dolly.
This heat pump version is nearly double the price of the AC-only variant - a small fraction of those added profits (there are few additional components) should be used to improve the packaging of this product.
