When I bought this to replace my old window unit, I am very happy, this unit ,has great features and good quality. I love that it has heat and a/c both and it runs very quite ,love it

Nice Unit

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This unit fits the 12x12 room I put it in very well. I like its many features including the supplemental heat. Would be nice if it could switch between cooling and heating automatically. At this time of year daytime temps are in the 80's and night time in the 50's. I like to keep it at 68 degrees. Yes, it does cool and at times is slow to keep up with the cooling. I wish that when on cooling the fan would shut off when the temperature is reached and periodically check with fan - it keeps going and going even when the temp in the room has lowered to 60 degrees, and so I have to manually change it to heating mode, then in the morning manually change it back to cooling. So far, a few weeks of operation, I haven't seen any water draining anywhere. In fact I have a humidifier in the room to keep it at 50% and still no drainage - not sure why.

I decided on the fridgidaire because of the price and the name (fridgidaire is a quality brand).. I couldn't be more happy.. it cools the room off in no time at all (I went with a little larger unit for the space, I suggest you should too).. easy to install and the features and quality are great..
I would recommend this to a friend!

Supplemental heat doesn't work

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Supplemental heat doesn't work when the outside temperature falls below 40 degrees. The first one has been replaced and a third one is on the way. Don't know if the A/C works as it's winter time in Iowa.

Great Features

We bought this looking for the energy saver feature, so that we did not have to listen to it running all the time and to try the heat feature. The air conditioners are quiet and the heat has been a God send . It works great and we are saving a bundle not having to light the propane heat yet. We are very happy with our purchase.

Recommended for energy savings and quality

I have bought 12 of these since August. With regard to the heat pump and heating a 15 X 18 room they are still being used and doing the job mid January in Ohio. Granted it has been a warm winter but we have had some single digit nights. Most of these have yet to be used for air conditioners and cooling but the few that were worked very well in August and September. They have cut the energy bills and that was the hope so I am very happy with them at this point. My initial thought was the savings would be in the fall and spring by avoiding using the propane heat and they have gone beyond that. At this point I am very happy and if they hold up that will continue. They appear to be well made and are easy to use.
