I purchased this as supplemental heating and cooling for my kitchen. I have enjoyed having the extra cooling since the summer has been so hot and I look forward to having the additional heat in the winter.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It's still summer, so haven't tried out the heat yet. AC works great! My only change to features would be that the remote should show the room temperature like my Fridgedaire in the LR.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I like it because the whole unit shuts down once the temperature is reached including the fan in order to conserve energy and it is nice and quiet

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This has been a life changing purchase for us. One of my kids bedrooms has never had heat or air and I relied on fans in the summer and space heater in the winter. I sleep so much better not worrying about a space heater at night and summer time it's bearable to sleep in the boys' room! Even in really cold weather in wasn't supposed to be efficient and it has worked great. Only when the temp has been below 0 degrees have I had to gwt the old space heater out.

Oh no! I am distressed that you are not happy with your room air conditioner purchase, ceet. Your air conditioner is rated to cool a space up to 350 square feet, is the area you need cooling in larger than this? If the AC is set for a temperature that may not be reached because of the room’s/outside temperature is too hot, the unit may never turn off. It is normal to hear ‘high pitch chatter’ a sound of rushing air, gurgle/hiss, pinging or swishing and vibration. These are all normal. For more information of normal sounds during operation, please refer to page 4 in your Owner’s Manual. Verify that the original installation procedures have been followed properly. Pay special attention to any gaskets. If improperly installed, even a high quality, low-noise unit can rattle mercilessly. Good Room AC

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Installed in a 4 seasons room 12x14. maintains its set temperature on "ECON" mode with no issues. Currently we have 100 degree plus days and the room is well cooled. I have 12 larger Frigidaire window AC's at work and never had a problem with them in 8 years of use by soldiers, They work well and their tough.
