Temperature setting

I recently purchased this unit. So far, I believe I am going to like this. I am having trouble setting the temperature. I set it to 73 but wake up freezing and the temp in the room is showing 61.

Newair makes excellent portable AC units

My husband bought this specific model roughly 4 years ago when we lived in an apartment with no AC. We used it for a year, then moved to a place with central air. Then this unit went to my mom's little house when she didn't have AC. She used it for a year before moving. The unit sat in storage for almost two years and we recently pulled it out to loan to a friend with no AC in her apartment. This portable AC has been nothing less than excellent, reliable and it's so well-made. I like well engineered products and the fact that the exhaust hose is like a tough-made slinky that stores into the unit itself is fantastic because it means you don't lose or break the part if you treat it well. We did misplace the window kit parts that help you attach the unit to your window, but customer service was fast and easy and able to send us replacements in 2-days. I used the online chat and called in and the customer service reps were incredibly friendly and fast. If they didn't have an answer to a specific question, they told you, put you on a brief hold, and got the answer quickly. I cannot say enough good things about Newair. They really do support their products. On a side note: I also own one of their wine fridges that holds 18 bottles. Two years with the wine fridge and not one issue. Thank you, Newair!

Remote Control Broken

This does a great job cooling a room. But, the remote control went out, so that is a bit inconvenient.

Thoughtful Design & Engineering

I’ve had my NewAir portable air conditioner for two years now. It’s one of four units I have in my house. The others are LG. This unit is quieter, more compact and we love the way it has built in storage for the hose and accessories. It keeps our master bedroom chilly, even on the hottest days, and helps us get a good nights sleep! Highly Recommend and Customer Service is exceptional!

Poor ac unit

Never again

I should return it the first day I got it. It is aloud noises and and it only goes two directions(up and down). I only used it during summer when it’s hot and hardly use it. After 3 years the compressor is no good. The water kept filled up very 30 minutes. Looking for a new portable A/C that doesn’t make s too much noise.
