Best Price for a Great AC Unit!

This NewAir 12,000 BTU unit is excellent for my upstairs bedroom that gets direct sunlight in the summertime. Going to bed when the room is 90+ degrees is not a problem once you turn this thing on. As long as it is not overly humid, this AC will cool off a decent sized room in no-time. It gets the room down to the low 70's (I keep it there to save energy) and keeps it there all night. The timer and sleep functions are very nice, and the remote is a bonus so I don't have to get out of bed to adjust the unit's settings. The only downside is this unit is loud, not overbearing, but still loud. Once you get used to it, its no big deal and you can sleep with it on just fine, but the first few nights takes a little getting used to. Overall though, my girlfriend and I are very happy with the NewAir AC-12200E unit and how it cools our bedroom. I would definitely recommend this unit to friends and family. The customer service is a bonus, Ashley S. has checked in with me a few times to make sure I am satisfied and the unit is working properly, its nice to know that the company cares about its customers!

I have it in my living room near my TV. Keeps the room cool all day and is not too loud for the TV. Filters are easy to access and PVC Window Vent is easy to work with during installation

The room, the room, the room. Despite what anyone says about any portable a/c unit's effectiveness, it is all relative to the exact room you are cooling. My office fits the dimensions for this unit, but it is poorly insulated: exterior wall of a metal structure, gaps in door seal, and a drop-ceiling. Therefore, it is unfair for me to criticize this unit simply due to a warm office space. This unit does blow cold air. I only used it is the drain mode and it drained well, in my case about a gallon a day so do not leave the unit running unattended for more than one night. Keep in mind my unit never reached the desired temperature due to the insulation issue mentioned above so it continued to run unless I turned it off. I also ran the air exhaust through the drywall and into the void between walls. This noticeably heated the wall, so once again I cannot fairly judge the unit's ability since conditions were not optimal. If my office had windows I definitely would have fed the exhaust using that option. Overall I believe that this unit is capable of its advertised performance capability, but in my case I either need a unit rated for higher capacity or more insulation around my office space.

No need to put AC in window

I am over 65 and rent. The heating system is fantastic but is not a combination heat/ac unit. A window ac unit is too heavy for me to lift, so I would have to wait for a handyman to stop and put the unit into the window. With these portable units the window only needs to be raised about 8 inches. The panel fits securely into the raised space and the hose easily inserts into the panel. Cooling is fantastic.

I have this unit in my garage room and I have never owned a portable unit. I like it a lot it's heavy when first taking it out of the box but it does have wheels so easy to move. it is a little loud but not overbearing. I found out it works best when the drainage tube is connected so it can drain when in use and maintains the temp I have it set for.Great QUAILTY AND VALUE...

The Best A/C ever made!!

We bought 2 NewAir units for our desert home. The BEST decision we ever made as the temps hit over 120 degrees this year. Even though we had several wall A/C units they didn't circulate the cool air in the living room or dining areas. Our NewAir units were AMAZING in accomplishing exactly what was needed to keep us chilled out while cooking and eating. The incredibly movable units can go wherever you need to add some cooling to your life. By far the BEST purchase we made this year! Thank you NewAir!!

Initially, the New-Air appliance leaked. The New-Air representative had me check the drain and then it worked fine. It really does help cool a hot room and is very portable.
