Beautiful and functional cooktop

This cooktop is packed with features and a real beauty. Had a bad spill over and it cleaned up perfectly. I prefer a gas cooktop, but for electric this can't be beat.

This cooktop has great safety features for pets and kids alike. The child safety lock feature came in handy when my kitten was the first to try to use the cooktop. Bad kitty! The power boil feature comes up to a boil in what feels like seconds. Love the high tech, touch screen features too.

Wish the cooktop coating was more durable

We had to replace a Dacor cooktop after twenty years and I’m disappointed that technology hasn’t improved the durability of the surface material. Granted, it takes a bit of effort to keep the surface spotless clean with spills and splatters, but it’s the faint scratches that bother me most. Manual says not to slide pots and pans over the surface because it can cause scratches. Don’t slide or shake pans across surface—are you kidding me? Have the creators ever cooked? Am I supposed to lift a large saucepan with one hand to shake while I’m whisking my sauce/gravy with the other hand? NOT realistic and the surface scratches WAY to easily. My Dacor didn’t scratch like this one does. Again—you’d think our technology in materials had improved in the last twenty years.

My new GE is a beautiful design and sleek. No knobs and gorgeous beveled edges. I love the large center burner and the double burner feature. I just bought a new double burner griddle to make pancakes and can’t wait to try it out on my new GE stove! I love the fact it is made in the USA! I will only buy USA made products!

I LOVE NOT HAVING KNOBS. Ease of cleaning, one touch to power boil, a built-in timer...I can't even express my joy at having this appliance in my kitchen. 10/10 would recommend.
