[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this unit because the central system was costing us so much money, and it the unit ran day and night. It still didn't cool the 950 square feet of living space, back bedrooms weren't cool. This unit, LG, was place in the dinning room window, and with the aid of a couple fans cools the entire living space. It has a energy saver, so I set the temp. and it turns off/on costing me 1/3 of the price the central air conditioner cost. Until I can fix the central air this LG is our main source of conditioning, and I will always keep this unit as a back up. The front grill was a challenge, but once it was put on securely it stays in place. No water drip at all, or its so little it evaporates before I can notice. 110 degree weather and the unit works terrific.
Pros: Features/Settings, Performance, Quality, easy to use

Performs as well or better than my previous LG A/C

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought a little over a month ago, to replace almost the identical model I had installed 8 years ago. Better energy rating, cools really well especially now during N.E. Floridas' seemingly endless string of heat waves. My 1250 sq. ft home stays cool because I close off 3 rooms we seldom use anyway, bedroom and Mancave have their own 5000 btu a/cs. This new model used a different freon than the old one, has a red dirty filter warning light, and a lift out filter...no having to open a front grill which with a little age begins to rattle, buzz and vibrate. The cost was about the same as the LG unit from 8 yrs ago. The factory warranty isn't nearly as good as in years past so I purchased a 3 yr extended warranty. Over the years the old LG unit had to be recharged, the outside coils replaced and a new compressor installed...all on warranties, never cost me a dime. I run this a/c 24/7 from the last of April to the end of October most years only shutting off for bad storms or vacations.
Pros: Performance, Quality
