[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have had this a/c for a couple years now. It's still running strong with no mechanical issues.
Pros: It cools my very large bedroom very easily It keeps the humidity at a comfortable level . Nice settings for fan, energy saver, or cool . Comes with a remote . Has a red light that comes on when the filter needs cleaned
Cons: Very loud! The energy saver feature sounds like an airplane is getting ready to take off every few minutes. I keep it on cool only so it just makes one consistent loud sound and not the airplane sound otherwise I would be turning my TV volume up and down all the time and being woke up in the night. (Slight pro with the noise:) It does do a good job of drowning out my annoying neighbor mowing her lawn every other day and my kids yelling at each other if I get the chance to take a nap on the weekends!
It does get a smell and I can't figure out what to use to clean the mildew smell out of where the water collects.
Remote is tough to find the right angle to register with the unit.
Had this one for a year now, a little loud but was the rated the quietest, cools a 20 x 12 room very well

Disappointing........

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased this product a couple of months ago and already it needs to be replaced/brought back. The air conditioning units compressor refuses to turn on no matter how high or how low I adjust the knob which leaves my small apartment unit hot. I did not pay for a “Fan”, I purchased an air conditioning unit which fails miserably. The only reason I have yet to return it is because of my transportation situation. I clean my apartment religiously which includes me removing the units air filter and cleaning it, so that is not the problem. The problem is quality. I would not recommend this product to anyone. Especially the elderly. Ever.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
