While we wanted a new, larger, TV screen, and we had so much good luck with our previous Samsung TV, this "smart" TV takes over control of my subscription TV carrier. I guess I could have lived with that if it were 100%, but it wasn't. I had a difficult time telling the TV that it should act 'dumb' and finally got there. I believe we should have the option of how our viewing be organized and processed.
Pros: Built-in speakers, Bright display, Realistic color
Cons: Did not meet expectations, too smart, poor transition from carrier to samsung control
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
