Samsung LED 40 Smart TV Sound

The picture quality is fantastic once I ordered HDTV from Direct TV. What a difference.
I am looking for external speakers because the sound quality is OK but not great. And sometimes have a hard time hearing it.
I tried the different sound settings and helped some but I think having some external speakers would be a huge help.
Also the screen always seemed dim. Turned off Eco Sensor and that made things much better.
We love the TV and plan to purchase another one and try to use a HDTV antenna for it.
We even played some videos from a digital camera on the TV.
This thing has so many wonderful features.
Get one, you will love it.
Pros: Realistic color, Lightweight, well made., lots of tech features.
Cons: we sometimes have a hard time hearing the volume

Some great features on this TV

Had this tv for about a week now. Picture quality & refresh rate is fantastic. OTA reception is pretty good and signals lock-in mostly well although the weather seems to affect my crummy
The internet side of the device is a wee-bit slow for my tastes. Samsung uses proprietary software so many pop-up ads are present when using Crackle & similar sites.... booo! Currently ad-block programs not compatible.
I would recommend this tv.
Pros: Built-in speakers, Bright display, Realistic color, Lightweight
I would recommend this to a friend!

3 major problems. TV Channel Guide terrible. Smart Hub and App Menu can not be prioritized, Chrome stand is glaring.

The UN40H6350 is a good TV with 3 terrible flaws. The TV guide channel list is awful. There is no way to auto load the channel guide, so in order to see what is on TV you have to page up or down and wait for the TV to load the schedule. There are only 7 channels displayed per page, and because the channel guide load time can be slow it takes too long to scroll up or down the guide and see whats on over the air TV. To make matters worse when you press guide or page up or down the TV does not display what channel you were watching in the top left corner of the guide, but instead shows a spinning circle until the channel info is loaded. Also the TV does not store channel guide information very long, so when one show ends and you press guide to see what else is on you have to wait for the channel guide to load yet again. I would hope a future TV update would allow for auto guide loading and or not stop displaying what you are watching while the channel guide loads. Also I would hope a future update would allow the channel guide to retain it's channel schedule info for a much longer period of time. I watch a lot of over the air TV and these flaws are constantly annoying me, and wasting my time. Not all TV's have this problem, and I have an old hdtv digital to analog conversion box that does not have any of these flaws. (The "On TV" and "Timeline View" Smart hub functions are of no help, and mostly unneeded.)
The Smart Hub and Samsung Apps menu while designed quite nicely does not offer the ability to prioritize your favorite apps and or other inputs and channels. This results in the Smart Hub button displaying random inputs, channels and apps at the bottom of the screen The inability to prioritize apps, and or other inputs and channels is constantly annoying and wasting time. I would hope future tv updates allow you to prioritize your favorite apps, inputs and channels.
Lastly the Chrome stand is a glaringly bad color choice, both literally and figuratively. Any and all light sources will be reflected and can be quite distracting. Also the TV leans forward even with the stand assembled correctly all screws tightened, must be the way it was designed.
This is a good TV with many good features, However the TV Channel guide needs to be updated badly, and inability to set favorites for the Apps menu and Smart Hub also needs updating badly as well.
I did research this tv on cnet and amazon and while I was aware of the inability to prioritize apps, channels, and other inputs in the Smart Hub and APPS menu. There was no mention of the poorly programmed channel guide.
This is an honest review and I hope it helps others looking for a new TV, and I hope Samsung recognizes the merit of these complaints. I would also hope for Samsung to address these problems with future updates, as a good programming department should be able to solve these issues.
Pros: Built-in speakers, Bright display, Inexpensive, Realistic color, Lightweight
Cons: Did not meet expectations, awful channel guide, smart hub samsung apps menu. can't set favorites, glaring chrome stand.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Samsung has had problems with internet connectabilit that it has not resloved. Have to use inferior Samung Servers with slow connection. When not connectd properly even basic functions do not respond properly. I would not recommend buying a samsung smart tv until Samusung fixes the problem.
Pros: Bright display, Realistic color
Cons: Did not meet expectations, internet connectability
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
