Easy to set up easy to use

I come back from a meeting and the first thing I do is scan the cards obtained. Looking for a contact , I go to my Cardscan database and search

If you have business cards, you need CardScan.

This is a business necessity. Scanning my business cards into CardScan is the first thing I do after returning to the office or home from a day of meetings and sales calls. At any time after scanning I can EASILY transfer them into my contact data base and follow up via email and/or written note. Reality is that the tech business (my business) is very much a world built on poratability. But relationships still rule in the end. My CardScan, via CardScan.net, allows me to easily move those relationships with me as I advance my career.
Pros: Quality Construction, Small Footprint, Works Efficiently, Easy To Use, Reliable Performance, Easy to travel with, Worthwhile investment
Cons: Tough to read graphics

Powerful, but use with caution!

This product has dramatically reduced the time I spend getting contacts into my database. However, Outlook users beware: it is very easy to duplicate the data when uploading, but a painful, manual process to remove the duplicates! It happened to me and I am still cleaning out duplicates 2 months later.

Cons: Prone to data duplication

Great product with one bad flaw....

I bought this to use as my business card database for my Vendors. It works perfectly for US cards. I have a lot of International vendors that I deal with and while card scan is esentially a great product it lacks the ability to read/scan International cards properly. The scanner just doesn't understand the European and Asian terminology on the cards so unfortunately I am spending a lot of time cleaning up scans as soon as soon as they are put in. I've also noticed that there is a problem with it scanning any odd shaped/sized cards as well. I guess I would highly reccommend it if your needs are to database US only. If you have a lot of overseas contacts look elsewhere..

Cons: Odd size cards don't work, Can't read International
