I have just upgraded to Cardscan Executive after using your original product for over 10 years. I am in constant contact with a host of different venders in my line of work and the contact info is always at my fingers, and many of the venders who have seen Cardscan work have gone out and purchased their own, I have even had one vender who left his laptop with me for a day so I could set up his Cardscan system for him.My only downside is when I went to upgrade your website would not allow me to access my discount coupon for being a return customer and when I sent an e-mail regarding this it was never answered, other then that it is a great system
Pros: Scans Quickly, Good Resolution, Scans Accurately, Easy To Use, Easy To Transport

Missing Cardscan At Your Service

I really like this product. I've had one version or another since it's earliest form when it was still owned by Cardscan. The latest version, though is hardly an upgrade. I went from version 8 to 9. New scanner came - same as the old one with version 9. And the only version difference I can see is that they eliminated support for at your service. To make me this makes no sense. Every one else is moving to more "cloud based" services and Dymo eliminates it...I know I can do some of this with DropBox, but still it was very nice having AtYourService. It worked well. So in summary if you can get a version 8 on [@] save yourself some money. No improvements with version 9 and elimination of some features

Unable to get product to work

I purchased it two weeks ago. I have installed and uninstalled the software three times. The device is recognized but will not scan.

Does NOT work with Outlook 64bit

I have used Cardscan in the past and found it very nice. HSo I decided to get a new one. Found out the hard way that is does not work with Outlook 64bit??? Come one guys - it is 2013. Why would I not run the 64bit version of Office... Very disappointed. Would NOT recommend.

Terrible Support of CardScan by DYMO

For more than 10 years CardScan was my default database for all my business cards, network database, etc. I was always able to exchange my data with OUTLOOK as that is my main email environment. Happy, happy, happy. But that is no longer the case as MS OFFICE 2013 is not supported and will not be supported (according to DYMO CS).

This use to be a great product, but since being purchased by Dymo it has steadily fallen behind. iOS, Android syncing are not available without buying 3rd party apps. Dymo probably should just kill the product line. Watching it die a slow death is painful

Buggy software or user ineptness

The basic usefulness of this device is not only related to the hardware but the software. Using the card scan program to keep track of records is a big part of what I do as a salesman. Unfortunately the software is weird when it comes to consistency. Its settings do not seem to matter when copying contact details. Sometimes it gets stuck on copying only card images for instance, and refuses to copy the text! This reduces efficiency and causes decreased productivity! Also the search function has an arbitrary way of working, and does not function at times searching for company names or client names does not always find the correct one for some reason.
Pros: Easy Setup, Accurate Color, Time saver
Cons: Software has problems

CardScan not compatible w/ latest Mac OS X softwar

DYMO should warn users of CardScan that if they upgrade to the current Apple Mac OS X software, their CardScan will no longer work. There is still no upgrade path for Mac users, reference to compatibility with Mac should be removed until this is fixed.
